Have a nice Sunday!
Another cloudy, wet, and unseasonably cool start to the day along the southern shore. Decided it was time to crack this vintage '12' and whip up some breakfast. Coffee still present, but faded, with a nice bittersweet chocolate-bourbon flavor. A different animal, yes, but still damn good.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
had this one to start my sunday.
somehow i noticed some kind of off taste and just a small tart notice. normally it's full of fudge and sweet sticky bourbon.
so when i looked closely to the cap, it turned out that there was some gold wax below the cap, so maybe there was a tiny hole whe some air could have got into the bottle?
anyone else who has some of that experience?
anyway... it was still really good. just a small difference
Found a bottle of 3 Floyds Artic Panzer Wolf in the back of my fridge this morning while looking for a breakfast stout. What the hell, hops in the morning will work. It's not exactly fresh but surprisingly this is drinking and smelling awesome. I love the unique spicy, chai tea like taste I get from this beer.
Nice imperial porter but not worth the price.
Starting off with a light one. New Belgium Skinny Dip.
Good morning BAs! Finally got to try this, thanks to a gift from @TurkeyFeathers:
and no thanks to Weyerbacher's distribution system here in NW PA!
Glad to oblige , how's it drinking ?
So good with brunch.
Mixing things up today....... Smoking a pork butt and drinking Cherry Moonshine and Lemonade.
I had to be up way to early for it being my one day off this weekend. But it's going to be another nice day here in Oregon so I might was well start it off with a stout. Tons of chocolate and so damn smooth.
Happy (rainy) Sunday, BA's....at least I will not need to water my thirsty hop bines today!
Got to try this out...and cool new "egg" glass...love it!
Enjoy your day and drink well and often, peeps!
Not sure what the can design is meant to represent/symbolize but the name is of this (as of very recently retired) brew perfectly reflects its flavor. Intensely hoppy and bitter with very little (if any) malts to offer balance: Bitter American by 21st Amendment Brewery (San Francisco, California).
Damn! Everytime you post your hop vines, I feel I could look west and see them over the horizon. Beautiful!
How about a Lager?
Clown Shoes Galactica DIPA.
Umm ... You know we can see that you posted that on Instagram 18 hours ago, right? Kinda hard to start your Sunday on Saturday.
'Morning Jay. I've seen this brew described as "hot" which seems apropos. If I had more, I'd age them and maybe pull at six months, one year, etc. to see if they had mellowed or at least blended the currently distinct flavors into something less harsh. Oh, by the way, Jester King cancelled the cruise in August so I won't be puking over the rail into the Caribbean. Apparently they couldn't meet their cabin quota. And thanks again for the Sunday Morning Stout and the BCBS - I might save it for review # 1000 here on BA!
Odell Tequila barrel-aged Myrcenary - Mycenario.
I really want to crush a beer right now. Gotta mow the lawn and put a coat of a paint on the bathroom ceiling first. Business before pleasure, but I'll be joining you soon enough. Enjoy it BAs!
sounds familiar, I have to go help a friend install a fence with some mates... but there will be free beer to help out! Join you all later!
Always a great start to a rainy Sunday! Cheers all
I've had this and Victory Storm King recently and though both are excellent beers I think I liked the Yin & Yang a little more.
I love that beer! It's amazing how it has so much alcohol and you can barely feel a thing!
I LOVE your glass!
Thanks! I saw it in a pet store recently.
Thanks! Yep, am pretty amazed at how well these vines are doing, since I just planted them last spring.....the Cascades in particular are setting burrs like crazy! Going to be a nice fresh harvest ale in my brewing future for sure!
I was raised better than this but I'm starting the day with dessert. Sorry mom...
Taking in a Monkeynaut IPA for breakfast before heading to the beach.
does that actually taste like it has 1000 ibu's?
I be drinking some Phantom Ship, a bourbon barrel-aged Belgian-style tripel from Heavy Seas, soon to be featured in NBS.
Today woulda been John Bonham's birthday - indisputably one of the top rock drummers of all time...
And today IS Clint Eastwood's birthday (86!!!!!!!!!!) - coolest fucking guy...
Snacking on some soppressata and semolina
Belgian-style ale and Italian fare...
Coast Blackbeerd! I missed out on the bottles this time. I really want to try the BA version. Cheers!
I dock points for Audit mug here.
Cheers BA. I have Hefe-Weizen on my mind...
Was an extra in a trade, first time having it, really hitting the spot!
