I love New England because of all the seasons!

Anyway, I'm on a bit of a hop hiatus. Refusing to buy any hoppy beer for at least a month (though people tend to bring some by and that's okay). Just trying to give my palate a cleanse.

In the summer, I generally drink Narragansett or Corona. It's hard to avoid Sam Summer (it's at everyone's house, it seems). I bought and enjoyed the Cisco Summer of Lager recently. Just want something delicious, not hoppy, and easy to drink as I sit by the pool.

    Any suggestions?

I love Summer of Lager. Other favorites of mine include Jack's Abby Sunny Ridge and Harpoon Summer Beer. And I'm not sure if TreeHouse's Eureka w/ Citra counts as a "hoppy beer," but that sure is a tasty, albeit hopped-up, Blonde.

Nooner, Summerfest, Berkshire Czech, Brooklyn Summer, Boon Geueze, Anderson Valley Gose and blood orange variant, also maybe not a summer beer per se but I like it in the summer is Wachusett Milk Stout. It's in cans now.

I'll toss out Cape Ann's Sunrise Saison and White Birch's Berliner Weisse (the blueberry and raspberry variants are good too).

I'l also second the Anderson Valley Gose and Blood Orange variant, two of my favorite summer beers.

Grapefruit Sculpin is my go-to but in the summer. Narrangansett Del's Shandy hits the spot on a nice summer day though

I'll second the White Birch berliner. Really great to have it in cans.

Can't believe I forgot Summerfest. That's a summer staple for me as well.

Looking forward to getting some Lost Nation Gose in cans. Any ideas if it is widely distro'd or mainly burlington area? Won't make it down that way for a bit, hoping to find it closer to NY/VT/Quebec borders.

I think the key is easy drinking and light. I'd prefer under 5.5%.

Gotta get my hands on the Lost Nation Gose.

    Notch Saison
Weihenstephan Kristallweissbier (only problem with this one is that it's not in 6 packs)

Yeah, and it's going to take a significant amount of discipline to not try to head down for some of them if they become available before my vacation at the beginning of July.

Everything should be in six packs: big beers, little beers, in between beers.

This is going to sound a little crazy but I think everyone should try it once. A bartender was nice enough to mix Del's Summer Shandy with Two Roads Road Jam. It was a surprisingly tasty summer treat, raspberry lemonade. Dont think you can have more than one but definitely worth a try.
