    Crooked Stave's Brandy Barrel Aged Nightmare on Brett is arguably the best of that series. It's phenomenal.

    Not sure if you are into pumpkin ales, but there are several note-worthy ones, aged in other than bourbon barrels;
    Carton Brewing - Pumpkin Cream Scobeyville Wood (aged in Laird's Apple Jack barrels)
    Avery - Rumpkin (aged in rum barrels)
    Rum Barrel Pumking - Southern Tier
    Lakefront Brandy barrel aged Imperial Pumpkin
    Rum Pumpkin - Hardywood

    All pretty damn tasty! Not sure how many of these you can get in CA, come August - Sept......

    Mott the Lesser, Prairie AB Noir and Anthem Brandy-Barrel Uroboros are my favorites that I've had. Definitely digging the brandy barrel wave!

    Innis & Gunn had a decent Scotch Ale aged in Cognac barrels.

    I've only had apple brandy noir - it was good but kind of oaky and almost astringent. Had a great nose but I can't say that I got much from the brandy in the taste.

    Oak Aged Abt 12 is aged in Calvados barrels.

    Westbrook - Siberian Black Magic Panther (Apple Brandy)...I tried it, really didn't like it...they also once brewed a Apple Brandy BA Tripel

    I loved that beer, but interestingly the mix of the AB Panther and Bourbon Panther was better than either.

    Not sure where in CA you are, but Bravery Brewing in Lancaster did a beer called The Shroud that they aged in brandy barrels and it's pretty fantastic.

    The drinking of that beer was the reason for this thread lol I have one left which I'll enjoy over the weekend at the PLAYBOY JAZZ FESTIVAL. but going to head up to Bravery to see if they have anymore left. Truly and excellent beer.

    2009 Brandy Angel's Share was great.

    You might want to sit on Bourbon Barrel Aged stuff for a while if you want them to mellow.

    50N4E by Cantillon is their gueuze aged on cognac barrels. The last batch is just over 2 years old and the cognac is really shining through; definitely an amazing beer.
