    Terrible weather continues to befoul our enjoyment of summer around here. Long week, decided to forgo an evening out for some tasty brews, a bag of Red Vines and just grooving by myself to some good old funk. This Galaxy Slayer from 18th Street is not quite hitting the spot, the maltiness is cloying, and on my palate, totally overpowering the Galaxy hop flavor. Thinking about opening something else. . .Happy Friday, BAs!

    Not sure what to make of this one. I need to come back to it in 20 minutes once it is warmed up... Not wowed yet that's for sure, but it has potential. Something not quite right in the way the coffee and vanilla are playing with the stout. Hmmm, I will decipher you beer...

    Edit - it is coming together as it warms. definitely a 60 degree beer, but it is a bit over-carbed and there is a metallic edge to it that isn't quite right. Good, but I can't help feeling it could have been great. Still enjoying it though!
