Looking for great beers in the Philly area

    The wife will be in the Philadelphia area and I'm looking for some great breweries she can bring back to Arizona. I'm not sure what is available at the local bottle shops. Thanks!

    What are you looking for specifically? Types of beers? Local/PA beers? Beers available in PA but not AZ?

    Thanks for responding. East coast ipas that aren't available in AZ. I just don't know the distro/breweries for that area. Stouts are welcome too.

    Don't shoot the messenger, I was just telling you why.

    But to get a good recommendation, saying "Philadelphia area" is too broad to get you helpful information. Do you mean Center City, one of the other City neighborhoods, near the Airport, or somewhere in the suburbs? Within mass transit, or driving? If you are talking suburbs, that is a big area. So I could give you a recommendation around the suburbs where I live, but if your wife is staying on the opposite side of the city in Cherry Hill, that is an 1.5 hour drive away in traffic.

    The search function shows the most recent 100 threads with the word "Philly" in the title, it's certainly someplace to start:

    If can't get Troeg's I really enjoy their Perpetual IPA and now their Hop Knife seasonal is out, which is also very good.
