    Hello,
I'm from Minneapolis, and I'll be visiting Philly in a couple of months. We'll be staying at the downtown Marriott, and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if/where there is Russian River available, especially the sours. I've already utilized phillytapfinder.com (which is amazing!), but I'd also like to find bottles that I can bring home. Also, are there any "must have" local beers that I won't be able to get elsewhere?

Thanks in advance for any help!

For Russian River bottles in and around Center City, I would try...

    - The Foodery (Rittenhouse, Northern Liberties and Center City locations)
    - Food & Friends
    - Local 44 (a few miles West of your hotel in University City)

Check out Monk's cafe for Pliny on tap; never seen bottles in Philly myself. I would pick up "The Shape of Hops to Come" by Neshaminy Creek if you come across it (16oz cans).

In a couple of months it is anyones guess......But monde market and locust deli both also have RR sours, typically for cheaper than local 44, foodery and food and friends and they sit on the shelves longer because people don't know anything about beer in philly (minus a handful :stuck_out_tongue:).

Monde Market is worth checking out, as is Old Philly Ale House. In fact, Old Philly Ale House is worth checking out for a lot of things, but definitely RR sours.

Because bottles of Pliny the Elder aren't shipped to PA. Draft only.

Anyone live near the Manayunk area?
I am travelling there this weekend and would love to get some Russian River.
Know of any bottle shops over there?

Only place I can think of in that area that might have RR is the Dawson Street Pub, but I haven't been there in many years.
Barren Hill Tavern maybe and Macmenimen's, but they're outside of Manayunk.
Does the Flatrock still exist? They had some great beers back in the day.
You might want to map out your route to see if there's a place on the way. Capone's and Via Marconi come to mind if you're coming in via the turnpike.

If you're going to be in Manayunk, check out Bottles Packs Growlers in the Andorra shopping center and The Foodery on Ridge Ave. Each location is less than 5 min from Manayunk in the Roxborough neighborhood. BPG always at least has Damnation bottles, and each of these places will get bottles of the sours in from time to time. Not sure if any sours are in stock at the moment, but these would be your best bets in the Manayunk area.

I was in town two weeks ago and they had them at all of the Foodery locations as well as Food and Friends. I believe they were all $17-$20 for the sours.

If Bottles Packs Growlers in Andorra/Roxborough has any sours in now, I do notice that they are usually a few bucks cheaper than the Foodery locations.....

Foodery is also in Roxborough, just up the hill from Manayunk.
