Close. Saison hands in the green bottles. They will be calling it something else though since it's changed so much after getting fermented/aged in the foudres.

Good lord this recent batch of Saison Hands is absolutely killer. Tart and oaky.

I already had a love for saisonhands but fermenting it in oak and giving it some time to develop has done wonders. That beer is out of this world. I hope in the near future it will be available by the case. I don't get out that way nearly enough.

Can someone give an update who is there tonight with a potential employee or Jean estimate volume left of Mago?

This batch of mago is awful. Not even close to the same beer

Unless they gave me the wrong beer. Mine was clear. Yellow and no hop or mango flavor at all. I have had multiple growlers of each batch and this beer I had today was one of the worst tired hands beers I have ever had

It is a different version of mago but there is mango flavor there and you're right it is clear compared to previous batches but it's not the worst tired hands beer. But I guess different strokes to move the world

Definitely was clear, no real head retention or lacing compared to previous batches which was certainly odd. That said, I do not know how people aren't picking up mango in this one. Nose is crazy filled with mango, taste not as much it's certainly more hop forward than fruit but I enjoyed this batch. Favorite? No, but good. As they say, I guess different strokes...

Don't know when the change happened but was there Saturday and fried chicken has been replaced with a $16 order of smoked BBQ chicken. I can't bring myself to order anything but the burger right now so I don't know how it was.

Never had a prior batch of MagoTago so I can't compare, but I can compare this beer to any other IPA or beer they've made and it's great. Yeah, the Mango flavor was light, but it's still a really well made IPA.

Well they took it on the chin pretty good for the fried chicken. Besides the people on here, the foodie for the Philly paper slammed it as well. So, probably makes sense given the ridiculous price point and bad Inky rating on it to try something different.

I think there were just as many people who liked the chicken. I wish it was still on the menu and they just took the armor coated comment and renamed it something sarcastic.

Was at the Fermentaria last night - 32 oz fills of Mago Tago, Fuzzy Yellow, and Such Passion are $11.50 each ($8.05 with Believer's Club - what a steal).

Well, if you were lucky enough to have that 30% Believer's Discount, yeah...

Not sure who watches both threads but there was post in the latest Other Half thread about dual-branded tekus, TH and OH. Looked sick. Wondering if they'll make it to Ardmore.

Finally got to stop in the Fermentaria on Sunday; love the new location. Huge and the new food menu was very good from the little I tried off of it.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know if the original batch of Magotago was 100% Simcoe hops? I hadn't had it since March 2013 when it first came out and at the time thought it was the best beer I had had by them, and was one of the better East Coast DIPA's I had had. While it was good on Sunday, I didn't love it nearly as much; I liked the Mosaic version a little better, but again, not as much.

Not trying to start a "B1 is better" discussion, but honestly curious if they have changed the recipe and hops since that first batch.

Freedom from the Known as fantastic, and Shambolic and Lambos & Mansions were both very good as well.

I can't believe they wouldn't let me fill growlers of Freedom From the Known on Para5 release day and it is STILL on tap! That beer is so good! I might be back up on Saturday, hopefully it will still be on.

First batch back in 2013 was indeed all Simcoe

And they started from filling growlers of it the other week.
