Anything particular foodwise we need? I'm not really a good cook but I could probably get a dish to bring with enough notice, or I could just bring chips or something

No theme, just something fun. Hope you can make it!

Another thought I had growler-wise, although I'm sure TH will be the popular choice, would be Troegs scratch beers -- they usually have some interesting beers in the scratch series, though they are very hit or miss. I could potentially grab a fill as I work like 5 minutes from the brewery.

This is only gonna be my second! It's a bit of a drive for me, though it's not too bad, and obviously not as far as it would be for you...

Not related to this thread, but did anyone in or around Annapolis see either Stone 19th Anny or FW Helldorado in any bottle shops?

I know how FW Distro works in MD, and it could very well show up in another month. Not seeing Stone 19th anywhere was weird though.

I havent seen either in AA co. and from the Notable releases thread someone said that Dawson's distributor hadnt heard of Helldorado so they thought we may not see it.
I was told I got the last Helldorado at Perfect Pour in Columbia but then they posted the next day that they had some, so you may want to check there.

Dawson's did end up getting Helldorado last Thursday, 6 bottles total so it may be gone.

Helldorado and Velvet Merkin have come and gone from these here parts (at least for the most part).

Just checked with the Stone Rep for the region and he said, "It's in the state I personally saw it out in The market (MoCo) last week and in the warehouse at chesapeake. Tell your store its in and I'll also pass on a message to the wholesaler. Thanks for the support!!"

Hmmm usually my store on the Eastern Shore gets the FW Limited stuff. I guess Helldorado wasn't meant to be.

I'll be super glad to get that Stone Anny beer two months past the bottling date....

I can only speak for Baltimore County & City concerning the FW.

I added a few beers I would bring if I end up being able to make it out there on the 10th.

Helldorado hit the Eastern Shore yesterday....the same day as Velvet Merkin. It's weird how new FW limited offerings take forever to hit Maryland, but once they are established, they seem to hit right away (sometimes).

No desire to highjack this thread--apologies in advance, but I'm headed to town (from Pittsburgh) for a wedding this weekend and wanted to solicit suggestions for bottle shops, breweries and/or beer bars. Don't have much time, because we will be visiting with family and toting kiddos, but I can probably squeeze one or two places. While I like filling up my trunk with non-distro bottles when we're on the road, the best part of traveling for me is usually visiting breweries in person. Thanks.

Where will you be staying? Annapolis? Baltimore? DC?

If you go into VA Ocelot and Lost Rhino are two great breweries which are a 10 minute drive from each other (They're both about an hour drive out of DC). On the MD side, Union would be a great place to stop. In DC, I would check out DC Brau (taste some beers and pick up some OTWOA cans) and Right Proper or BlueJacket.

If you are talking Annapolis downtown; Fox's Den, Federal House, Dry 85, Mills Liquor store are all downtown
Bottle shops in the area; Fishpaws, Dawsons

Don't think we'll venture into the DC area at all--went to Bluejacket last two visits though and enjoyed. Right Proper remains near the top of my list for the next foray into the Deece though. The others will be a bit of a reach as well because of our path, but thanks for the suggestions.

Looks like a couple of shout outs for Fish Paws and Dawsons--is the latter the better of the two, if I'm picking only one? Federal House has on Nanticoke Nectar, which has been suggested by @DeutschesBier

Probably more chance of finding something unique at dawsons, but fishpaws has a tasting/growler bar
