BA Mexican Cake Release Thread

If for some reason someone can not make it down and bought a ticket then i will pay for your ticket and give you 2 bottles of the BA version. I have my ticket but now a buddy is coming with me that didn't get one.

If not oh well.

Where did you see the number of tickets sold, I missed that. I believe you, just didn't see that anywhere.

 

Thank god its not, way to much jockeying for position and people not even involved in the proposed trade trying to influence value (which is actually occurring in non-ISO/FT threads like this one now instead). But I will say a downside of the new rules on the ISO:FT is that you can't see which trades have gotten done.

 

Yeah, good and bad of not allowing replies for sure. Bad is there are no longer checks and balances of allowing people to reply and discouraging ridiculous trades postings by a good public shaming.

 

Westbrook posted it as a comment on their FB release page when someone asked

 

Cuts down on the amount of people showing up and makes the release go a lot faster/smoother if everyone is getting the same thing. You can always split the allotment with friends...

 

You can change the name on the attendee ticket.

 

If they allow that going forward for the next similar release, you're going to have a ton of out of state people buying tickets then finding a 'proxy' locally. I saw someone from Chicago on FB who bought a ticket asking for someone to pick up the bottles. You'd think they'd want to limit that.

 

Looking at the weather I bet Westbrook has to make some changes. .... this is going to be a serious weather event this weekend

 

I think what they are trying to limit is people re-selling tickets.

 

Lots of rain. Luckily, the road to the brewery doesn't usually flood. And the hope is the people will come in throughout the day to pick it up, instead of all at once. There will be tasty tap selections throughout the day, and no benefit to just showing up at opening time.

 

Everyone drive safely to and from the brewery. It'll be pissing down the entire time most likely.

I like the way their released it, user friendly, neighbor friendly. I would have bought a ticket if I had the chance, even at $30 a bottle. Ive bought Eclipse, if you don't like the price don't buy, their perogitive what they charge.

 

Any official word on other varients? At first I was thinking they might slip one or two in as one of the "BA Cakes", but now I'm hearing all kinds of stuff:
Coconut got infected
Coconut and Pappy are onsite only
Another release, etc..
