Had many gruesome lagers in Southeast Asia - but even those don't compare to Saranac Caramel Porter

When I first got my license (16) I had a 12 pack of coors lite hidden in my trunk. It literally sat in there for about a year roasting in the hot car (most cans exploded). One lucky lasted, I drank that one day, it was awful.

I can drink a gose. There are some that I have enjoyed, there are some that I don't like at all. For some reason, that one just didn't sit right with me at all. That's not a dig at the brewery, like I said, the Keebarlin' P.A. is great stuff.

Latrobe Brewing Co. and it's Rolling Rock brand has been a "macro" since 1987 when Labatt, then the largest of Canada's Big 3, bought them in 1987. InBev (then still Interbrew) bought Labatt in 1995, to make RR even macro-er.

For a couple of years before Labatt's purchase, the company was owned by Sundor Corp., makers of "Sunny Delight" orange beverage. Too early to jump on the "shandy" fad, unfortunately :grinning: but Latrobe Brewing hasn't been an "independent", family-owned company since 1985 when the Tito family sold out.

AB, by all reports, has continued to brew Rolling Rock under the same recipe and with the same "defect" of DMS for which the beer was infamous.

Jester King Ambree Batch 3. Mostly because it's the most recent terrible beer I can remember, but god damn this beer tastes like a pile of erasers and burnt tires.
