I'm tentatively planning on arriving around 9am for this, but we'll see if I actually feel up for it on Saturday. Almost seems easier to actually go to Boston and get Trillium beers rather than waiting in this line though, so if I miss it I doubt I'll be too upset.

Any talk of them updating or expanding their tap room area? As someone who doesn't have a car, knowing that they had a larger tap room where my company and I would have a chance to sit down would make stopping here more often an easier sell.

There's no room to expand the taproom in their current space, and from what I understand, they may be tapped out in brewing space too. I wouldn't expect a larger tap room any time soon.

Can I just saw how surprised I am by this list? Though it has some clear faults (no 3 Philosophers/Hennepin, no SingleCut), it seems otherwise well thought out, and Boogie Board Stuntz is an underappreciated OH beer. Kolsch + hops is an excellent formula, as Carton Boat (the best beer in America, if you ask this homer) shows.

A NYC bar that has no OH on tap just offered me cans. Is OH now allowing this? I remember the big BFFM controversy.

Certain bars definitely get cans. Blind Tiger had Doug up until Saturday, and Proletariat regularly gets cans.

While not being superbly knowledgeable of probability, I would say your chance is pretty much 0. They typically have the beers being canned available on draft for a while though. you might have luck filling a growler of it. If we're lucky, they'll limit it to 32oz (or no growlers!)

@Phreeballing considering Green Street sold out in less than 4 hours with a 6 then 4 bottle limit at noon on a Monday, you've got almost no shot.

Is there a can only line? Since we're lining up well before they open, do they do tickets for growler fills? Like a Tree house situation?

Nope. The line goes through the tap room and snakes around to the back where the beer is made/cans are dispersed. After you get inside the taproom it usually sort of splits off--the line to the right brings you to the back for your cans, the line to the left is for growler fills/pours. I used to bring a growler along but it definitely takes a while, and with space limited to even hang out for a pint it can make it overwhelming. Treehouse truly does have it perfected, I'm always so blown away by the way they handle the huge crowds. Space is the most challenging part of the whole operation @ OH.

Here's a pic, its certainly cozy in there:

All Green Everything. I asked my waiter if OH permitted bars to sell their cans. The waiter went to the manager, and came right back saying OH sends them sample cans, then gave it to me for free.

Ha sounds more like "uh oh - just tell him it's a sample and it's free."

Maybe it was the truth. They have one other OH brew on tap, and cans are a good way for OH to intro beers to bars. BTW, it was NOT on the beer menu, as with BFFM back then.

Even with the four can limit? Wow, I'm sort of glad I have a wedding on Saturday and forced to sit this one out. Good luck to you all!
