yeah, you are correct, the actual name is Whiskey Barrel Aged Double Mexican Radio, which is pretty awkward.

Or as the locals call it........ BA DMR, or DMR for short.

Yeah, to clarify, I don't buy their beer because of the price. I've had it on one or two occasions, if only to give them a shot. While the beers I've had have been very good to phenomenal, I can get equivalent, if not better, beer for a much lower price point. I just don't think it's right to say they make bad beer because of the pricing. Two separate issues.

Beer can be fun.... right? No? I think what they do is a fun change of pace and a brewery that you should visit... I do not support their 15 dollars a bottle for a 12oz, and do not recommend picking up a bottle at a store but at the brewery their prices are fine.

I'm saying they make bad beer because they (generally) make bad beer. Everything is high ABV, very sweet, and loaded up with adjuncts. On numerous occasions, I have had Adroit beers that aren't even remotely close to the style. IPAs that taste like strong ales. Saisons that taste like, well, strong ales. In fact, everything they do seems to be a damn strong ale. Big, boozy, overly sweet messes. There is little to nothing to differentiate between their beers.

I get it, you thought BAYS was phenomenal. But it doesn't change the fact that their beer is bad to mediocre in almost all cases.

Pricing I actually think is spot on. They are in the wealthiest county in the country so people are not short of money. And I have to think their operation is quite expensive considering the insane amount of adjuncts and barrel treatments they do. It's a crime that they spend so much money on such mediocre beer.

I think most of us can agree that the price of their beer is on the higher side of what we would prefer to spend on a 12 oz beer. The real debate is about the quality and there is obviously a personal taste and preference component. While I appreciate the chances they take and generally like to try random experimental brews, I can not forgive them for that Absinthe/Wormwood/Sage atrocity from last year. I've had a few from Adroit that I have enjoyed (Imagination Atrophy was decent enough) but I can never undrink that absinthe beer and for that reason, it is very unlikely that they will ever get another dime out of me. Quite possible the most disgusting beverage I have ever tried to consume.

Louden County is the richest county in the country? I did not know that. Not being snarky, just good info. I would have thought Marin County in California or something.

I get where you're coming from, too. I admittedly haven't had a large variety of their beers, and the ones I've had were great. That doesn't mean everything they do is that good, and quite possibly a lot of it is bad. My only point was to avoid conflating the two issues. If you haven't enjoyed their beers, especially at the price, you shouldn't try them again. I've enjoyed the beers I've had, and even I'm not particularly inclined to have more of them.

Think it is just Double Mexican Radio(imperial), which has been barrel aged (single).

To be fair it's based off "median household income" vs. something like "wealth", so there could be other counties that have a higher level of wealth, but they may not actually have "income".

It sounds like a grand total of 3 cases of Trickery for the area, its probably not worth getting your hopes up if you're not already on the way.

Arrowine sold out. I got their fucking email 30 minutes ago and they sold out. 2 bottle limit per person is a joke when you only get 12 bottles.
