Agreed. Ferry Street Food and Drink is another great spot in Malden.

Any spotting of coffee in Brookline/Alston/Brighton?

Agreed, Yankee in Sturbridge did a great job. It appeared they only had 1 case each of Coffee and Regal, when those were gone they had vintage Coffee and Barleywine.

I got a coffee from Blachard's but had it reserved, otherwise no luck but I didn't knock myself out searching.

Got Regal and Coffee from Palumbo's in Walpole. 1 each, $26 (I think) for Regal, $14 for coffee. They had regular at $14.95.

Also Sam's Wines on 1A in Walpole had the same mix, slightly less expensive. But they only had 6 each of the variants, and I got 1 of 'em at about 11 or so.

Wollaston Supreme Liquors in Quincy had a few cases of Barleywine on the shelf as of 4pm today. $13 per, not sure on limit, no regular in sight though which was strange.

That's surprising, I don't think the wholesalers sell to the stores for that little...

I got a case at Kappy's for $108 which is only slightly more per bottle.

Grabbed a coffee from Village Mall Liquors in Franklin about an hour ago. I think it was the last one, but definitely worth checking out. I believe they still had regular. Coffee was a bit high at $16.

    I had a tough day

Early morning Black Friday shopping had me in foxboro at 8am. Tried trader joes = no. Tried muckeys on 44= nope. Tried Pioppis in Plymouth.
" yeah, can you wait a bit? We are unloading the truck ." I hang in the store for 15 minutes. The clerk walks out with a bottle in his hands.

" is this what you are looking for?"
    "yes!!!"
"How many bottles do you want?"
" just one, but if you have any of the variations, I am looking for those too"
" I just don't know the price and the woman who does won't be in for a 1/2 hour. She should be here by 10 and once I have the price in the system, we can give you a call."
Give him my name and phone number. Put up Chrismas lights, clean up the yard, clean out the garage. No call from Pioppis. Have more errands to run and figure I will stop by Pioppis. I see the clerk with whom I was talking with 3 hours earlier.
" can I get that bottle now?"
" um, no. We have a list and will raffle off what we have."
"Why didn't you tell me that 3 hours ago? You took me out of the hunt for this beer."
"Sorry , I didn't know. Do you want me to put your name in the list...."

Try 4 other store. No luck, very frustrating

Picked up a Coffee for $12 and a Barleywine for the same price in Somerville this morning.

Then headed to Foundry, got there around 4:45, they started cracking the Goose Island Coffees and tapping kegs around 5:15 pm.

No riots at all, not overly packed, had some bar seats with friends. Had two Regal Ryes on draft (absolutely delicious) and split a bottle of Coffee. Ordered my second Rye after 6, and we ordered three of them, so they were still going strong at that point. I left at 7 pm, not sure what was left at that point.

Then maybe it's a good thing I didn't get as far as asking if they had any BC left in stock.. went there after work a few hours ago, came up to the counter with a Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout, was asked to show my driver's license and was told they couldn't sell it to me since they don't accept out-of-state IDs. Now, I'd heard that this was a "law" in MA before, but it's never happened to me in the 5 months I've lived here so far.

It's funny - same thing happened to me. I'm 25, yet they said my license (RI) needed to be from 1988 or earlier. Luckily my mom was in the car so she had to come in and buy it. Weird shit.
