New to Ohio (2016)

That's where all their Juju went, then. Sucks. Said they'd get more so it's whatever. I just want a couple bottles.

They had REALLY fresh Gumballhead in, bottled on date was 2-5-2016.

 

I've seen a decent amount of Kriek Cuvee Rene but has anyone seen SpontanBasil?

 

Aka we have 4pk holders/labels just for Ohio, don't you worry

 

Wouldn't surprise me much.

 

I can think of a couple places that have gone that route...one of them isn't too far from Grand Rapids...

Sunday Morning Stout in 4-packs at Dilly Bistro Bar & Bottle Shop in Madeira (Cincinnati area). 3 left at lunch today.

 

Wave 2 of JuJu hitting Toledo area today...

Andersons Maumee confirmed 10 cases. Assuming it'll be limited to 2 4/pk again.

 

Stopped at a relatively new brewery in Youngstown this past weekend... Paladin Brewing in Austintown.

They are doing some really solid, tasty stuff. I was a huge fan of "Sir Kenneth", their blonde ale made much like a Czech Pils... Amazing Saaz hop flavor, very lager-like. Got a crowler to take with me.

They had a SMaSH Mosaic pale ale that may be the best I have had for that type of "style". That mosaic flavor was super intense, far more than I had before in a SMaSH type beer.

They had a few other IPA's on tap, in general these had a bit more malty complexity... I picked up quite a bit of Munich malt flavor in them, which I love, so even though they were more malty the flavor profile overall was just fantastic. They also had a Scottish ale, oatmeal stout, brown ale and black IPA as well on tap.

A few "biker" type older gentleman working behind the bar... Extremely nice guys, we had a blast chatting with them. Gave my girlfriend and I a personal tour of the brewery, explaining the process of course but also answering all my technical questions (as a home-brewer myself), which they were super excited about to discuss.

Highly recommend it for those passing through the area! I can't wait to go back... One of the better smaller breweries I have been to recently.

 

Round 2 of Jujus in Columbus today, saw it at 2 locations after work. Thank God, as this is one of my favorites and I wasn't sure if the demand reached critical mass for me this year.

 

The Whole Foods I work at in Cle is getting 15-20 cases of Juju tomorrow and another drop the following Wednesday.

 

Mistake by the lake my ass...grocery store...no limits...



Yeah those are more cases (although not all juju) on the displays in the background.

Does anyone know if GE Market District Grandview got more JuJu in? I need to run to the grocery store today, and would love to just kill two birds with one stone.

Sibling Revelry in Westlake opens up today. Anyone planning on checking it out?

 

I work a couple hundred feet from it but I don't think I will be able to make it today, then I'm out of town this weekend. Hoping to hit it next week. I'm interested to hear first impressions!
