Copehagen Beer Celebration 2016

Anybody heading out there this year?

Will be my second time, and I cant wait. Last year was possibly the best beer related experiences in recent memory. The selection of beer is insane, the breweries and brewers are stupendously friendly, and the food was great too. The whole city is also geared up for this week, with most of the bars hosting meet the brewer events for those involved at CBC, usually pouring rare variants of already rare beers! Plus, Warpigs Brewpub is probably my new favourite place in the world, such an awesome menu and beer list in a really up and coming area. I found myself in there most of the evenings, and usually was shoulder to shoulder with gys like Henok Fentie of Omnipollo, Bill Batten of Alesmith, even Mikkel on one occasion.

A word on the arrangements though: The session tickets may seem expensive, but there are unlimited 2oz pours of any beer available at the session. Each brewery has 2 beers on the bar, and the beers change each session. With 50 odd breweries last year, you are talking a lot of beer to sample, and usually they are big and strong.

If you cant tell, I thoroughly recommend grabbing some of the last tickets!
