Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates

That's a label regulation issue. But yea it looks pretty silly.

 

I like soriachi ace hops, i liked the beer, but didn't find it stellar, the hops kind of rolled over my palate in this weird way. Can't wait for the new dipa though. And that blue lady, that stuff looks delicious. Just distro it to the Niles Cardinal.

 

I think it is awesome you guys publicly follow and post in BA. It is great that the consumers can discuss your beers, changes, feedback, and future releases with the people making it happen. Ever thought about a special Beer Advocate Release, for those that follow your threads and really get into your beers ?

Edit: This coming from a guy who didn't get in FwB....

 

...You know Gerrit and Beejay are RateBeer guys, right?

EDIT: I'm not trying to be snarky, but it's true. Seems pretty counterintuitive to make a release for BA as opposed to the people who supported them from the beginning (FwB), no?

I guess I should just be happy that I live in the city and have access to 90% of the beer that is made. I also made note that I missed the boat on FwB...

I totally missed Pipeworks reply about that above, so thanks for pointing it out. I know EoD isn't an imperial though, so I would keep that in mind. I tend to do a lot of specialized tastings with my friends...apricot sour sampling, coffee beer tasting, yada, yada, yada, so I'm just saying a chile beer tasting will be added to my calendar very soon.

FWB = Friends with Benefits. It was a Kickstarter project (www.kickstarter.com) that helped raise money for Pipeworks and was called Friends with Benefits. It allowed people to donate to the project and in return they were guaranteed future bottle releases of Pipeworks stuff to be held for a week or so at a couple locations around Chicago.

It was an honest question. But the lol was because of the whole friends with benefits thing.

That said, when I considered joining, I thought it was going to be pick-ups from the brewhouse on Western & Wabansia, which would have been awesome since I work like a quarter mile from there.

 

Where did this FoB thing come from? Shouldnt it be FwB?
