Probably not my number one if could do anything and thought about it a little more but was just drinking an Oro Negro and thought, "damn this is good, imagine if they barrel aged it..."

Not a spirit, but KBS aged in BCBS barrels...or the other way around...Not sure how great it would be, I just want to see how long the lines would be.

2nd choice: St. Bernardus 12 aged in cabernet sauvignon (or maybe syrah) barrels.

The only take away from this thread is thank god you guys aren't in charge of barrel programs.

Ummm... how about there are some good beers that possess those flavor profiles that aren't remotely like the sensory experience you've described?

It seems highly likely that BCBCS is my dream beer. Love BCBS so much, but I really prefer coffee in my stouts.

Would also love to try CBS and Parabajava.

Not sure of your question Chuck. We do add Bourbon to cappuccino in our house.

I don't know if it's a "dream beer", but I've long hoped that some Depth-Charged Double Bastard found its way into some rye whisky barrels. It's already a damn flavorful beer, but a little age would mellow some of the base beer's flavors and give the rye space to shine through, and @StoneBrewingCo have shown themselves to be geniuses when it comes to putting Bastards into barrels.

Oil of Aphrodite in Writer's Tears barrels. My favorite Irish whiskey!
I know it would create super over-complicated flavors, but BA Xocoveza or Oro Negro would be interesting to try.
A dark farmhouse in Orin Swift Machete barrels would be cool too.

This is a thing. Actually, it's 2–3 things, depending on how you count the various bourbon barrel aged releases (3-month aged and 7-month aged), along with the tequila barreled version.

Oh wow! I had no idea. They definitely don't distro that to the midwest. But it's nice to know it's actually a thing.

They did this last year. Bitch B Crazy ( Bitches Bank aged in Buffalo Trace Barrels) was part of the massacre set and it was absolutely phenomenal.

I feel like Hoptimum would do well in a barrel - maybe rum or white wine?

Also, finishing BCBW in a red wine barrel could be insanely good
