This sounds pretty damn good. I surely will seek this out. I wonder how many more variations of Arrogant they can come up with, interesting !!

Picked up the two bottles I ordered from their website today. Will probably drink the first bottle in the next week or so, and post a review then.

I'll definitely give this bad boy a try if I can find it. I've become a big Stone fan.

Take the Maple out and I'll give it a try, KBS is a favorite of mine, CBS not so much and I pass if I see it (which isn't often)
I know Founders CBS is highly sought, Stone's version? I guess we'll see

I'll give it a try but just hoping the maple isn't overpowering.

As for all their variations I just wish they would go back to the original 2013 Southern Charred (my favorite BA beer from Stone) where the DB spent a lot more time in barrels, do DB in brandy barrels again (had the 2004 one last year at Winter Storm and it was great) and lengthen the time DB spent in the rye barrels.

I'll admit though the 2012 Crime aged in scotch barrels I tasted at Oakquinox this year was really good. The peppers must have really mellowed out or something.

Drinking one of my two bottles now. Wishing I'd bought more, but I've bought an unusual number of beers that cost $0.05/ml lately (as this one did, including shipping), so I was trying to exercise some moderation. Anyway, if you liked Depth Charged DB, you should like this, as the base beer comes through very prominently. I honestly wouldn't know that maple was in the mix at all based on the taste alone. The bourbon is also more of a background note, at least at the beer's current age. Stone has my number when it comes to barrel-aged beers, though—I rank them alongside Clown Shoes, and right behind FW—so YMMV. I also would still really love to try DCDB from rum, brandy, or Scotch barrels.

Just curious, did you buy it at a distro store, or one of the Stone stores?

Had this last night, it's very tasty. I'd highly recommend buying some.

I really didn't think it was especially sweet, and I'm pretty sensitive to sweetness. At least, it's not even in the same ballpark as something like Uncle Jacob's or Stickee Monkee.

But Depth-Charged was only available in the Arrogant Bastard 4-pack.....

Costco in Garden Grove was selling them individually about 2 months ago when I went last. I thought the same thing, my guess is they couldn't sell the 4 packs? Because next to the depth charged were single AB, oaked AB, and double bastards
