Jackie O's (2018)

I struck out 3x today between Bedford Lizardville, Copley, and Falls Market District. How do people find out about this so quickly? It had been less than 24 hours when I started the scavenger hunt. I saw this post last night but figured there'd be at least a few leftovers.

 

I think it has more to do with limited amounts most places got a case or two with one and two bottle limits or no limits and of course you know what happens when there are no limits though I am happy to see wood burner getting some love

 

I had last year's and it was surprisingly chocolatey and not too smokey so a bit unexpected but yes I agree a pretty good brew.

 

With the hype and only one case each I think, i'm not surprised at all that it sold in less than 24 hours.

 

Just grabbed some Oro from my local dive beverage store. Just had to call and ask, time the shipment. No limits, I'd expect their one box to last at least through the weekend. The store also still has barking pumpkin in the cooler if you are dying for that. They don't get a lot of special stuff, but when they do, lucky for me, it doesn't fly.

 

How many cases of Oro are left at the tap room? I can't make it for a couple weeks.

 

I'm in philly, can update tomorrow. It did hit stores this week. Probably went fast.

I'm sure there is plenty, and I'm sure it will last 200% longer than whatever the initial doomsday warnings say.

 

Quoting this as as reminder of how long it stuck around last year. I have no idea how much was brewed last year vs. this year, but I guess this info is better than nothing.

Anderson's Dublin still had quite a bit of Oro and Woodburner around as of about 11am this morning

 

Just dawned on me that I haven't seen it for a while so I figure that means it's time to ask...

Yes, small run this year due to a horrible crop. Price will be 7.99 as well because the price of paw paw increased due to a poor harvest. It's coming though, August/September.

 

Does Paw Paw Wheat hold up over time? My neighbor has a 2015 in his fridge, been cold since he's had it. Think he is waiting for warmer days to open it, hope I am there when he does, but curious what to expect.

As far as I know, Jackie O's does not distribute to Michigan (including Dark Apparition). You might be better off asking in a Michigan forum for a more definitive answer based on your location.
