What am I missing with Indeed and 612? I haven't ranked a single beer of theirs above a 3. Every time I think about buying one of their beers I grab something I enjoy quite a bit more out of the cooler. I don't buy Surly as often as I would like due to the price, and 6 beers lasts me a lot longer than a 4 pack.

If you make a big deal out of a 50 cent price increase, it may be time for a new hobby.

I remember 15 years ago in Winona a bar had all you could drink from 9-midnight. Mic Golden lite/bud light/coors light for $5 and $3 if you already had the glass. Those were the days

Factoring in cost of living makes those prices a lot closer!

Cost of production at Bell's can't be that much cheaper than at Surly. Or are you saying Surly needs to make more money at their tap room than Bell's does?

Yea, and you could get a 30-pack of shitty beer for $10 any day of the week. Fuck that nostalgia.

I seriously doubt the Surly price increases had anything whatsoever to do with cost.

Oh, I'm not saying it does. I just commenting that seems to be the posters point.
My guess is it's to make more money.

Do you think Surly perfectly estimated what it costs to run a taproom?
Do you think all input prices (including labor) have remained stagnant over the past year and a half?
If you answered yes to these questions we have nothing further to discuss

Get out of here with your logic and reason, it has no place on these forums!

Doesn't explain why bells prices have remained the same over the last 3-4 years inspire of tap room expansion and expanding distribution

I don't understand why we are talking about expansion of distribution. Are we suggesting that expanding distribution should increase Bell's taproom prices? "Let's raise tap room prices to enter into this new market because we can't afford it otherwise"?

I don't have any historical data on bells tap room prices so I can't comment on the length of time since their last price increase.

This is a silly argument. Let's just allow that Bell's is major awesome and Surly blows donkey, and move on to something that makes sense.
