New to Ohio (2016)

May have to try to make this one that list is insane

 

For anyone planning on going to that Fat Heads event, be aware that, like most beer events with two sessions, beers might run out during the first session or at the beginning of the second session. I don't see Nut Smasher or Thirsty Dog BB Maple Porter staying on for very long.

That's not a knock on Fat Heads either, it's just the nature of having two sessions.

 

Did anyone else find bourbon maple porter to be entirely to sweet

 

Any chance a keg or two or five of Dank Sinatra makes it way to the Taphouse for growler fills after the event?

 

I bring full kegs (not 1/6 bbl) to these events for just this reason. Our regular kegs are 50 liter, and the infused Bodhi are actually closer to 1/2 bbl in volume.
These events at Fat Head's are always a good time.

 

Agreed! They are my favorite events next to Winter Warmer. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to make this one.

 

Way too sweet! Was so amped from what I read on here... Then drank it and was let down. Good, but not anywhere close to a CBS.

 

Just a heads up.. most Heinen's currently have an exclusive IPA called 4 CLE.. it features Mosaic, Equinox and blueberries.. the blueberries are subtle but definitely noticeable.. it's great stuff and worth checking out for the locals..

Hard to vote for the best beer in an event that features so many different syles but I can confidently say that the worst beer from the brewers brawl was Brew Kettles Ninja City.

 

Anything interesting drop in the Cincinnati /Kentucky party source area will be driving through the area tomorrow

 

Snagged a half growler today and am drinking it now. Excellent beer, but that's not the least bit surprising coming from CBC.

 

Agreed.. it's exactly what you'd expect from a hoppy Columbus brew..

 

But when a full growler of Bodhi costs $10, how can you pass it up???

 

Looks like Grimm Future Perfect is "New to Ohio" this week; albeit really limited.
Also, Madtree Citra High hits distro this week.

 

Stone Mocha IPA is also showing up in Cincy.
