Love the variety on draft compared to a few weeks ago. Probably a pipe dream wishing some of the Shredder cans will hold until tomorrow night when I am coming up though.

 

They went through 144 cases Tuesday but only 40 yesterday, and still have 50. I don't think it's a pipe dream they'll have some tomorrow but I bet it largely depends on how early you get there.

Wow so 40 cases going into Thurs and 30 left on Fri. Would not have expected them to move that slow.

 

Didn't expect it either, but it was nice to just stroll in on a Friday evening & get cans.

 

I'm hoping they don't go too far the other way this week with the double batch of Crucial Taunt. I'm hoping to be able to get back there Wednesday - knowing I'll probably miss whatever else they drop Tuesday but I really hope I can score a few four packs of CT.

Looks like CT about 175 cases and Idont <200 cases with 1 case pp each. Given that they went through 144 cases of MS Tuesday last week (with only 5 4 packs pp, not 6) and that I think there's more desire for CT than MS, and that they've announced already anyone there Tuesday can basically expect to walk out with 2 cases - my prediction is CT is gone Tuesday and Idont is gone by Friday. Just my gut - I hope I'm wrong and these stretch out like MS did last week though.

 

Today's release will definitely be interesting and should provide a nice barometer on how long cans last when Veil does not have an exciting & new release. I cannot recall every release since opening but I want to say this is the very first where there is not a brand new beer on board. I'm going to guess some of the regulars who show up ever week may stay away just because there's nothing completely new. With their post about Child Support cans arriving last week I almost thought that would finally release but guess it will come sometime over the next 2 weeks or so.

 

I bet (hope) cans will last until at least Thursday. Just my prediction. I'm going down today but won't be maxing out my allocations on it. I bet a lot of people will be in a similar boat.

 

~INFO FOR TODAY, TUESDAY JUNE 28TH CAN RELEASE~

A few hours ago we began canning two extremely fresh batches(still canning one!). The return of a tasting room favorite and the return of our beloved flagship Double IPA. Beginning today at 4PM we will be selling the following in 16oz can 4-packs:

-IdontwanttoBU-6.9%-0 IBU IPA. Hopped exclusively and intensely with Citra and Mosaic. This batch turned out incredible! 0 IBU's and even less perceived bitterness than the last batch. This seriously is just straight up hop juice. We love this one and we hope you do too. Approx. 190 cases packaged; $13+tax per 4-pack; 6x 4-packs/1 case limit per person.

-Crucial Taunt-8%-Double IPA. This is the first double batch of Crucial Taunt that we will be releasing. I know you've heard this before, but this truly is the best batch of Crucial Taunt we've ever released. Dank, citrusy, hazy deliciousness! We still have Crucial Taunt Willie Becher glasses to go with your fresh cans($6 each). Approx. 190 cases packaged; $14+tax per 4-pack; 6x 4-packs/1 case limit per person.

These cans are ONLY available from our tasting room and will not see distribution. Limits are per person per day. This will be the only packaged beer available from us to go until next Tuesday, so make sure to stock up for the holiday weekend.

Glad to see it's 190 of each. Honestly they could say at 7:15PM that they sold everything or cans could last until Saturday - at this point nothing would surprise me with this place.

 

I would be very surprised if cans (both) don't last until at least Friday. Even when MS lasted so long, you have to assume that many of the initial sales on Tuesday were people there primarily to pick up the new cans, right? Personally, I'm holding out for next week... it's probably safe to assume that Child Support is up then. Any more new beers in the pipeline?

 

Despite the high case count, people are apparently still getting in line before 2. haha.

 

I'm on line now and would say about 50 in line

 

Is there a big hype behind the hoppy pils? I saw the can pic but hadn't heard much of anything about that brew.

 

I'm not sure (and frankly the style isn't all that enticing, personally), I'm just more anxious for more new beers than I am another round of CT / Shredder.
