12oz bttl into perfect pint glass
    BB 10/16/16
L- light amber (if) more like dark gold, clear, thin white head, lacing
S- Juicy tropical hop burst, piney
T- light to no malt, tropical linger, piney finish
    F- is thin bodied, crisp
O- Of all the Fat Tire and Friends, this has the least similarities to the actual Fat Tire. Very surprised at the lack of malt. while the hops are nice definitely could benefit from a malt backbone

    Cheers!

Wait just a moment my friend! Has you moved from the Columbia Basin to Spotucky? Cuz, if not, I suspect @woemad might start an insurrection. He's very territorial.

Good to see ya though homes!

Apropos of nothing (as @beertunes recently said), but as I'm sitting here finishing off that Black Flag (thought about posting a link to King's X's song of the same name, but I still don't know my way around the smartphone+youtube links thing and my data is growing perilously short), I've got NPR on quietly in the background, Prairie Home Companion is on and there's a guy doing a bluegrass version of Tom Petty's "Love Is A Long Road," with a guy playing a mandolin at about Mach 3. I'm not a bluegrass guy, but it's pretty damn cool.

I was pretty excited to try this, as on hot summer days I enjoy a good witbier. The aroma was not as hoppy as I anticipated, but I'm not saying that's necessarily a negative. It has the typical yeasty and spicy notes, with a citrus note I can only described as "fresh." The flavor is much the same, and stays quite true to style. Good amalgamation of the flavors at hand. The texture feels creamier than any other 5.3 witbier I can recall. It didn't wow me, and not likely a re-buy, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

    3.82/5

    Cheers, NBS!

I believe the 19.5% is harder to find. But yeah, holy crap!

Yeah, I'm 3/4 of the way through the bomber, and definitely feeling it. Can't say it's the best root beer I've had, but if you're going to be handed a boozy root beer, this is much better than the low ABV ones. Would like to do a side-by-side with a sugar-free A&W with root beer schnapps. Betting it would be pretty similar.

I'm no expert or raging Three Floyd's fanboy, but I believe you hit it on the head with your assessment of the two. Like you, I find Alpha King more balanced as Three Floyd's hop heavy beers go because it is more caramel malt forward in comparison. Truth be told my Alpha King consumption is limited and consumed at local restaurants where bottles and kegs can be weeks old. Whereas I usually purchase Zombie Dust on the day it was bottled so it's crazy dank and fresh. Both really good when fresh, I just prefer the Dust myself because I like 'em dank!

Before I looked it up, I thought it might be a reference to the Portland Mavericks, featured in The Battling Bastards of Baseball (great movie). Clearly, I need to pay more attention to the Indians. I haven't been to a game since this team moved from Yakima. Certainly an appropriate name for a team from the suburbs of "Beervana."

Hey guys, thanks y'all very much for everything today, but, sad to say, it's time to stop dicking around and get a good drunk on. I thank each and every one of for all of your support, not just today, but always. Mostly, we've never met, face-to-face, but, we've had each others backs for a good long while now.

I thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of my raw heart. But, Extra Platinum Secret Gold Stars go out to: @utopiajane , @cavedave , @woemad , my NW forum homies, @tasterschoice62 , the rest of y'all (and, I'm very limited by the 5 person tag limit her) who took the time to send a message off-thread. Like I said earlier: I knew I wasn't wasting time here.

Deep, sincere Thank You's to all of you. I hope I never have to support y'all the way y'all supported me.

    Gracias Amigas and Amigos!

You're right! Definitely not his usual sign-on. Hope he didn't sell the farm (though that's certainly preferential to "buying the farm").
No, I'm not territorial. I just take exception to mule-masters who slam the place where I live while simultaneously asking for recommendations for where to go in town for good beer. Don't think Rod and I would have that problem - just the Cougs vs Dawgs one!

I think you're entitled to get a little drunk, so long as you don't go too crazy. Hope it clears some things out for you, or in the words of Avon Barksdale, "Take it light, but take it."

Ah, the day grows short, my beard grows long & there is a news alert of a diminutive fortune teller having escaped from the hoosegow. She is a small medium at-large! No? Man, it's time to tab out & go home. Baby, I wanna make like the duck following his plastic surgery. How's that? May I please see my bill? How cool! It's like after that time that the cow flew over the moon - it's on the house. Rimshot! All right, enough. I get it.

Fair enough. I guess it's only a destroyer of worlds of your world is a tree. They're a pretty nasty invasive species. Here's a bunch of info you didn't care about when posting a picture of a pretty beetle

The Japanese beetle is believed to have originated in the country of Japan and was first noticed in the eastern United States in the New Jersey area in the early 1900s. The beetles were most likely introduced in the United States through commerce, and they were able to thrive and survive due largely to the eastern U.S. being able to provide a favorable climate, large areas of grass for developing grubs, hundreds of species of plants on which adults could feed and no effective natural enemies. The beetle feeds on a wide variety of plants and crops while the larvae or grubs, will feed on a variety of roots of ornamental trees, shrubs, garden plants and grass.

The feeding habits of Japanese beetles are what make them such a nuisance. They are opportunistic feeders and have been documented to feed on over 300 types of plants and crops. They also like to feed in groups, which causes them to do damage to a wide area if the food source that attracts them is available.
