Last year there was a share on the patio and a "vip" share with Mike and Clark and friends back behind the taproom on the side of the patio. KBBS, Assassin, Velvet Speedway, BCBCS bombers, and more were all cracked.

    Like you remember.
I bought an extra chalice for $15, I think. Hard to remember when you're buying the case of Sosus as well.
Hope to see another DIPA on the same day. My wife really hopes so too!

Also, I've heard BA Don't Worry About it Stout will be bottled by then. Hopefully the coffee/ maple syrup variation is ready by then.

What made it a VIP share. How were people selected to be VIPs?

It was people that Mike and Clark had invited back to share with them. There were reps from other breweries and that sort of thing.

It wasn't like it was a special entry or roped off, just a word of mouth thing.

It would be a cool move to take some of the $$$ they receive during this release and help out the families in Decorah and surrounding areas hit by the crazy amount of flooding last week.

First time in the midwest! I'm coming in from California and am looking forward to the event!! Nervous about driving down to MSP, but if anyone needs a travel buddy down Saturday, I can repay in beer/gas! Cheers!

I hope you enjoy your time here. Fill a suitcase with beer on the way out and take other beer on the way home. Nice way to see a place for the first time!
What session are you in? Hopefully you can find someone to ride with or ride with you. Wish I had a better plan, but road-tripping with my wife and 2 kids to get MD isn't the worst thing to do!
Hopefully, I can catch the Minnesota- Iowa game, otherwise, I'll have to deal with those tickets.
NOT for sale to Iowa fans! I'll give them away first!!! (probably not, but you know what I mean).

Not beer related, but if you felt like really cramming the weekend full, you should hit up Field of Dreams on Sunday. They're having the "Team of Dreams" event. They have autograph signing, and celebrity game under the lights. Reggie Jackson, Johnny Bench, Ozzie Smith, Ted Simmons, Chuck Long and more will all be there. Although it is $30 bucks a ticket. Just a heads up!

Coming from NW Chicago suburbs if someone needs a ride. I have AM ticket. I am not staying not staying the night, but rather grabbing the beers, having my drink and relaxing a little before the drive home.

Of course not. Just looking for a nice stout instead of gas money.

Nah, October is already super busy with Zwanze, Darkness Day, and Shelton Festival though so I don't care at all. It's almost a relief really that I didn't get a ticket, because then I would have to go. It's a great beer and all but I've had it a bunch of times by now, both draft and bottle.

Thanks - but I think that's this Sunday not the week of MD release. We were actually thinking of going this weekend when looking at it a few months ago!

The day after this event TG should release an American style lager called Mourning Delight for all those fans who couldn't get tickets to the Mornin Delight release.
