FROM LAST NIGHT:

Finally got to try Vietnamese Speedway last night! Great stuff!

Nice & warm after a 50 mile bike ride on a cool evening!

 

Last beer in Korea! Not the best IPA, but glad to have some variety over Cass and Heit!

TGIF And Hola! Friday could not have come at a better time. Martens Pilsener.

Pours clear bright and golden. Good head that lasts well and clings all the way down. Nose is grassy hop and a soft clean malt. Drinks a bit peppery and shows some of the spice form hop . Clean finish with a lasting bitterness that does not drive the malt softness away. This malt is creamy and a bit tempered by softness and by the soft grasses from hops. The floral on the palate is understated but on the nose it's just there. Crisp round finish. A little sulfur on the nose as it warms. Pleasant euro style pils.



I had to buy Ithaca's Hellish Lager again already. AND finally the altiber is here!

 

Not the "Most Minnesotan Beer", but the most ubiquitous brand in the state because of its sales -- Michelob Golden Draft Light, a.k.a. "Mich Golden" and "Chick Golden" to the Bros:



It's not terrible, but if you're looking for bold or robust flavors, keep searchin', cowboy:

 

Happy Friday BA's! Is anybody else here freaking out that Oktoberfest starts tomorrow!?!?!? And that Stein Club Sunday is only 2 days away!?!?! I'm hyped, obviously, but right now I'm about to hype up some glassware. It's time for the Glass of the Day Awards!

GotD: History is being made today folks. Yesterday we had a shaker pint get a mention, today one is receiving the highest honors! Cheers and congrats @StoutElk_92 for bestowing on us the relationships and origins of beer styles via glassware. Safe to say that this glass is proper for every style.
2nd: Someone was clearly as excited as I am about Stein Club Sunday, so congrats to @meanmutt for a nice, albeit premature, Zinzinnati Oktoberfest stein (which better make another appearance).
3rd: @JuicesFlowing did just that with a sweet unique shaped Victoria stange/shaker-ish glass.

Honorable mentions go out to @PuppyClawz for exposing that Darth Vader has no regard for upholding contractual obligations, and to @911CROFT for a contradiction in itself. Who would have thought Piraat(s) would use such fancy gold rimmed tulips?!
