I tried Cloud Surfer on tap today. It was pretty good but I didn't like it as much as Trophy Wife and Double Death Spiral.

Thanks to the kind souls in this thread I was able to snag a glass of Huberis (and a bomber for the road).
Along with a glass of the Ginger Reaper Varient Stout, while swinging through NC.

Appreciate the knowledge! Raleigh is doin good work.
Also stopped by the State of Beer which had a stellar bottle selection and great prices.

Just my opinion, the ratings seem to disagree.

Cloud Surfer and Double Death Spiral are completely different IPA. DDS is a heavier beer with a very notable sweetness due to the honey used. CS on the other hand is crisper and very refreshing. Problem is if you don't have cans by now you're out of luck until the next run. We called Maywood on Sunday and were told they had 4 cases left. Dropped everything and ran over to Raleigh. Seems we were not the only ones with the same idea. My guess is that they were out of cans around 4 Saturday afternoon. Pretty solid demand. 8k cans sold in 9 days and all of that without distro.

They replied to my facebook yesterday and said they still have cans, which surprised me. But at this point I am too lazy to drive all the way out there when Sams Quik Shop is a block from my office and they have Trophy Wife

Surprised to hear they still have cans as I misspoke in my prior post when I said were were there on Sunday. We were actually there on Saturday when we were told 4 cases were all that remained. Must have had more hidden away somewhere? Anyway, good to hear more may exist.

Re: CS vs Trophy Wife, again... two different animals.

Newest Bond Bros. Local IPA is straight dank Centennial hop deliciousness. It's also brewed with an experimental hop"07270"...not sure what the new hop is bringing to the table, but the beer smells just like a freshly opened bag of hop pellets. Really damn good...

Had the newest ipa at little Trophy called Lupulin Station a couple times this weekend and thought it was awesome.

Agreed. Had some Lupulin Station yesterday and really enjoyed it even though it was a little flat. We might have simply got a couple of pours as the keg was nearing its end.

Trophy will be selling cans of Double Lutz starting Sunday. Has anyone tried? Is it worth picking up?

Double Lutz is a new one for us so nothing to go on yet! It's hopped with Citra and Callista. We'll have it on draft Sunday as well so you can try it before purchasing cans!

All of the variations of "Local IPA" are great, but the Stride Session (Session IPA) is becoming my goto. It is fantastic and I like that it is a session. I promise you wouldn't know that if you weren't told and it wasn't labelled as such.

I'm looking forward to trying Double Lutz this weekend!

In this day and age I can't tell if you are being serious...

I like Stride, but really love Local. Particularly this most recent one with the experimental hop. Been filling a lot of growlers of it.

The double Stride they did with Ridgewood will be one to watch out for soon.

Definitely being serious. Unless they expect some type of shock at packaging, I want it ASAP.

Yesss...a boat-load of Galaxy in that forthcoming Ridgewood collab from what I hear.

I do like the Mango fruitiness in Stride. The latest Local is the best of the (three?) varieties I've had, so definitely looking forward to future batches. Bond Bros is a new favorite in the area for me.

The Trophy Wife that hit distro today was canned yesterday just FYI. I used to be only casually into this beer, but the two batches they've canned have really been excellent. I'm also a fan of 12 oz cans.
