2016 TG Mornin Delight Event

I'd say it's clearly pours since it's under the 'On Tap' heading. If MD is left, pours will be outside (where it already was) and cash only. There may be at least one other beer outside presumably during the MD event (but maybe not). I also assume "ticketed" means limit one (marked hand) in this context. This is the first and only indication that there is at least a chance for a surprise guest tap this year. That's my takeaway.

 

Anyone know where that post is from the dude at C&C (sorry man, I met you a couple times at C&C but forgot your name) went? He had posted a picture of Vanilla Noir and I wanted to make sure they were starting their event at 11 am again. I'm coming with a couple people that got tickets, but I did not so I'll need something to do until 4. I didn't see a Facebook event setup yet either.

whats the spots for food around there? i know the fire dept will be serving up some bbq and we will definitely donate for that, but what if i want some serious bbq or something?

 

Mabe's Pizza is where it's at. The throw salsa packets on top of the taco pizza.

 

Old Armory BBQ, it's in the upstairs of C&C, amazing food!

 

mabes honestly isnt that great, dont expect the moon when you go there. Solid pizza, but nothing you cant have the same as/better locally.

 

I've been to New Haven and Decorah and had both. Both towns are weird janky college cities I'd hate to live in but both pizzas are off the chain. Taco Pizza is awesome, I only with they'd put more hot sauce packets on it!

 

Jack, please stop talking up Mabe's hamburger pizza when I still have to wait another week and a half to order it. You're killing me.

 

Had that after MD Day last year and it definitely hit the spot. Stumble in there and slur something that sounds like "pork" at them. Should cure what ails ya.

 

Caseys across the street has good pizza also.

From Mabes - I roll with the Philly Cheese steak Pizza. Freaking awesome.

Pepe's is legitimately the best pizza I have ever had. My wife won't eat pizza anywhere except Pepe's.

 

Yes I've heard of it and eaten it. I'm just curious what it has to do with eating the best pizza in Decorah Iowa next weekend.

Anyways, to the matter at hand, I've lived in Decorah basically my whole life and have the normal affinity for Mabes, but I've never heard of these sacrilegious pizza toppings. Philly Steak?!
And while Taco pizza is a legitimately wonderful Midwestern invention of multi-tasking-world-culture-bastardizing deliciousness, Happy Joes - not Mabes - makes the definitive version in Decorah. At Mabes just order a regular. (Also, no sense in comparing Pepe's and Mabe's - two very diff genres pizza wise.)
