Thought X-Hops used experimental hops... hmm. I do love Amarillo and Citra combo.

 

Experimental Hops, or experimental hop combinations, or experimental pricing? If it was truly experimental, they would make us sign a disclosure waiver, give us the beer for free, then statistically compile and analyze the results. Maybe they will discover a cure for the common cold through this process.

 

I drink all of my beers for SCIENCE! And whisk(e)y is the cure for the common cold.

 

Putting a hop combo in there is pretty experimental for TG. I'm not saying that as a slight, but Mike likes to keep it pretty pure with the one hop / one malt combo from what I understand. This sounds like it could be pretty crazy.

 

Sounds right zach. If it goes over well and the Hawkeyes win the Rose Bowl, maybe a name comes to it. Maybe it lives in our memories and we tell our children about it. I want to freeze it into ice blocks and ice skate on it and then in the spring melt it and drink it.

 

Great tales of the beer that ended it all. No longer did people seek Heady, Tree House, Hill Farmstead, ect. It was this beer, this beer of champions.

 

John's Grocery just called out Bread Garden on Twitter for marking their bottles up so much. Not sure that's the right way to go about it, but whatever. At least it's being made aware.

 

I'm not sure TG can do anything about it either since JBros handles it now.

 

Yeah, BG has gone down the tubes as far as their beer dept goes... I used to frequent that place as an awesome little shop that would keep cool bottles a little bit longer than John's, but now they seem to give less than a heck about their beer dept. Back when Dan was running it he would always be up on what was coming out and want to talk about beer just as much as wine. It is a little sad to see because I used tell people to go there if they were from out of town and wanted some TG well after the last drop, but I don't want them to pay that much for it! Yikes!

I remember I went in there to ask about them getting any Abrasive and he said something like "I'll get it when I get it." I just felt like I was being brushed aside...

 

Anyone from the Twin Cities hitting T.G. anytime soon (within the next week)? Or someone in the area of T.G. making their way up here? Small favor to ask.

Well when I end up opening it I'll be sure to fill a vile to send to you. Will that suffice?
