I think that's the most I've read in one sitting since college, and I was a Lit major

It's never too early to find something to bitch about.

Kinda sad about the limits for SiTR/K but four is better than zero.

If someone made a beer called 10 Lords-A-Leaping this year, could they then put out a C&D to The Bruery when they release theirs next year? Or do you think they preemptively put a trademark on all of them?

What a shit lord move that would be.

If the Bruery hasnt already taken it upon themselves to do so, and they are in a predicament where they cant use that name, I hope they then call the beer something like "This was suppose to be the 10th beer in our Christmas series but *insert brewery name here* is a dick cannon."

    Or something like that.

A quick search reveals 10 lords a leaping has been a beer name in the past though by at least 1 other brewery.

So, with Vindictive being a rename of Winification, does RS get bottles too? Or is that only in 2017 with two different variants (grapes) coming out one for RS and one for HS?

Plus, rarely does a small brewery be an actual dick about that stuff. If they did feel like being dicks, I'm sure there's lots of loopholes. I mean, how many beers have you seen named "hoptonic", "hop a wheelie", "Hop on hop", "Green eggs and hops", "Hop rappa the rappa", etc.

Well, considering I made all of those up, but are probably still beers, my point is still made. Also, I call dibs on those name if they're not used yet.

@JoshBeerNow No one cares about your opinions of Strong Ales, Old Ales, Wee Heavy's or Barleywines Josh. :grinning:

My wallet rejoices at the limited allocations of beers I would have bought the heck out of if they gave me bigger limits! Limited beers are also more "desirable" at least to some folks so maybe this is an all-around win. If the limits were 8 for RS we'd all be bitching that they made too much and that it was going to hit distro, etc. I actually think I like it better this way than that.

So having BBA 8 maids last night I walked away very happy. I was not a huge fan of 8 maids, but putting this beer into bourbon barrels really helped it out. The strong bitterness turned into a smooth carmel chocolate mouth feel. The boubon added its wonderful sweet notes on the front end followed by a lingering chocolate flavor. The chocolate flavor I got from the beer made it very drinkable and could easily drink the whole bottle.

Vindictive, it seems to be more like a wine then a beer. I also love wine, so yes I also loved this beer. Intial smell was a sweet new french american oak. The taste is sweet black tuesday followed up by french oak rounding out boldly is the wine. The wine seems to be the bold flavor of this beer. I will max this out.

SiTR/ kumquats. Straight juice. Think juice with SiTR. It has a lot of fruit in it.

Appreciate the extra detail on Vindicitive. Saw the lukewarm reception to it on Untappd and was starting to have some doubts. But this explains why that is rather well.
