That I'll agree with. They just need to be very strategic with their selection of which quarter they subscribe to, and maybe know in advance what the releases will be to make it worth it.

Also, as for exclusivity, we should all review the small print. It's exclusive, until it's not.

*Please note that some beers will be more limited and/or exclusive in nature, such as beers included with a Society membership. Other beers may be “exclusive” to the extent that no quantities remain following a Society allocation. We will try to indicate in advance which beers are intended as exclusive and which beers are intended to be offered to others. The amount we produce of each brand will greatly impact which beers may be available to others following their Society release. We plan our production to meet the demand of our Societies; however, our projections may be off occasionally. In fact, to the extent that sales during a Society allocation period exceed our expectations, every Society member may not be able to purchase a specific beer. As such, we encourage members to purchase the beers they are excited about early in the allocation period. To the extent that sales may not meet our expectations during an allocation period, we reserve the right to offer such beers for sale to other Societies, in our Tasting Rooms and/or to the general public. We may also choose to serve Society beers on tap and in bottle in our Tasting Rooms and at events.

I might visit the tap rooms tomorrow. So i checked the tap list and noticed that they have a preservation tap list, reserve tap list, and a hoarder tap list. It sucks for new preserve members but I am for it. I just came off preservation and felt fortunate to have access to all those yummy beers last year, but i felt it not very exclusive. And exclusive beer always tastes better right?

Update: I got another email last night saying they will credit but have had issues causing the delay in the refund process. And yeah, had bought the bottles straight from them.

Ban someone share a batch number from their infected M15? Or was there only one?

Hate to hear it about m15.

Ugh. I'm about to jump on the buy what I can drink and don't sit in stuff anymore.

Opened Befuddlement from my RS package last night... man I loved this Brew. Hits hard with the sour profile then eases into the barrel aged anniversary Ale flavors. This one was very satisfying! :grinning:

Old PS member now splitting an HS membership (not in my name). With one of the new HS growlers I can get any of the HS or RS fills, but otherwise no access to the PS/RS/HS taplist for pours, right?

From what I understand the new growlers are no longer society specific so they'll probably be just looking up your name in the system. If you're splitting it you may be out of luck. You might be able to find an HS member that would fill your growler for you.

To be fair though, I'm HS and the only growler fills I ever got were from the standard tap list.

Honestly, I think with the change to using a drivers license you may be SOL. You might get lucky with a nice bartender, but I fear the worse for ya.

I wonder if it'll work if you are listed as the proxy.

You mean wearing that super cool lapel pin isn't enough.

good question. My brother wants to borrow my growler when he goes to the OC with his wife for some conference. I might list him as a proxy to have him pick up and ship some beers for me too.

I wonder who came up with the pin idea and what their thought process behind it was?

How widespread is this M15 issue? Going to open one tomorrow, just need to know if I should have a few backups ready. Also, are we getting good feedback on refunds?

Think of all the hipsters buying jean jackets and covering them with bootleg art/patches, funny/offensive pins... (look up pins or patches on instagram)... there is an entire subculture who are spending/making tons of money

Next year's RS/HS will be Patches. (Joking. ...but most likely not joking)

I've never seen an issue with getting a refund assuming you purchased on society or from the tasting room. They are prompt.

I actually had a Melange 15 Batch 326 randomly this weekend and no one said anything. When I last had SHiT it was obviously infected. M15 went from The Bruery to 2-3 weeks in the fridge.

My understanding of it is actually either of the above, without the primary member there with you. The growlers this year aren't marked for society level, and with the ID being needed for fills or pours, my bet is more likely than not you wouldn't be able to.
