Ballast Point Red Velvet nitro bottles

Had this from bottle last week. It's very interesting. The color really throws it off, it's a bit heavier than what you would think. I think I gave it 4/5 on Untappd.

 

I really wanna try this, but haven't heard a thing about it hitting round these parts....

 

Not a fan of red velvet cake, I'll pass. Saw this in my local bottle and the clerk practically put a six-pack in my environmentally friendly reusable bag, I said no thanks. He said it was flying off the shelf.

 

22 oz or packs?

 

I mentioned it to my boss. I work in a liquor store. If we get it, you'll know. I'm in Ocean County.

Exit 63. About an hour from rowan if you take a trip. Not too bad.

 

Stupid packaging with plastic label wrapped on glass...just had BP's Manta Ray and liked that though...

While I didn't like it I think it has great potential. I felt like the flavor was just a little off. I also felt like there was a very slight metallic taste to the one I had.

 

bought a 6pk on Thursday - finding it hard to finish - great label art - but this stuff is awful -

 

Hunterdon I believe is getting it on Tuesday so NJ would be getting it. If it hits my specific store I'll know for sure.

 

Man this was terrible. Thin, flat and bland. Drinking this was not enjoyable, it was more like a chore.

 

I imagine it tasted flat because it's a nitro.

I liked this, didn't love it. However, my friend who loved red velvet cake absolutely loved it.

Also, to all the people who are poo pooing on this being a stout and being red, go shove it .

 

"Heh" for last comment. But how does loving red velvet cake translate to loving this beer? If we were talking carrot cake and carrot-infused beer, I'd immediately get it.

Edit to add: Or are we talking about beetroot-infused cake?

 

He thought it tasted like Red Velvet.

 

You can really taste the beets....nothing else.

 

It's not carbonated so it would taste flat.
