Um. Haw River Farmhouse Ales is close enough to Chapel Hill, NC.

    GO HEELS!

I'll have to go with Willimantic Brewing, they're just 9 miles away from the Uconn Campus. Great rotations of beers named after postal puns (they're in a early 1900's US Postal building). Great guest taps too.

They've got John Wooden beat. What they are still accomplishing is pure legend before us!

Uconn Women are frankly more impressive than Wooden, and that's not taking anything away from the Wizard of Westwood. But the tournaments are much different. A field of 25 teams is less impressive than 64.

Martha and I were sitting at the bar at Gibb's 100 in downtown Greensboro last night celebrating our first date 36 years ago, drinking a Greensboro Pale Ale ( Blind Man's Holiday), on St. Patrick's Day, watching NCAA basketball from Greenville, S.C. Those games were scheduled to be here in Greensboro, and it's insane that our legislature has ceded a huge piece of our local legacy to who knows where next. HB 2 is fucking stupid!!! Sorry for the rant, but this really is beyond politics and borders on insanity. Haw River Farmhouse Ales is a wonderful place! Go Duke and Carolina.

I've only recently heard of Gibbs, and saw they have distribution to Raleigh. I'll have to pick some up!

And yes. I'm pissed about missing some NCAA tournament myself. Totally would have bought tickets.

Not really. A team then had a narrow path to be eligible for the tournament Check out Wake Forest's advance to the Final Four in 1961-62 There were no at large entries; a team had to win their conference tournament (if they had one) to advance. Otherwise the regular season champ advanced. The ACC tournament was the first of its type and is still a landmark in sport. Greensboro has been the home of the ACC tournament from the get go.

Yeah but I heard there was no reason to hold it in Greensboro anymore

I feel for you guys and the NCAA/NC political bs.

I have no worries tho. Seems Texas will soon be joining the party. :astonished:

I would much prefer they keep up in the production of great beer however.:sunglasses:

I mean I doubt anyone is going to be triggered. It was a bill written for a problem that didn't exist, that's what's so weird about it. And sucks economically for our state.
