What I heard is that restaurants snapped up almost all of the bottles.

 

The inventory on LCBO is single bottles right? or no? Idk why the inventory is barely trickling in stores.

It's a really nice store and sadly their flagship store which sucks if your not within an hour of central Toronto...

 

guessing it will be released some time around noon. total guess. but tomorrow's also a large vintage release. i assume that will be the priority.
i went by tonight to buy some of the vintage pre-release (they put out some of the non-limited wines the week before) and they claim they haven't even received KBS yet.
so assume a delivery comes in the AM, staff receives it, and gets to it by noon at the earliest.

 

so, the final word, i hope, on this release.
Summerhill's apparently staggering the shelving of their inventory so it all doesn't fly off the shelves over the wknd.

 

The best will be when some local puts up his FT: KBS ISO: HF, De Garde, Cantillon post.

 

KBS for HF probably gets done easily if traded to Quebec.

 

1500 bottles sold in one+ hour this morning at Summerhill. Are bars to blame?

 

I can't believe this. So insane. I figured to myself. Oh I have a day or so to get my bottles. But 1500 bottles over 1 hour? I feel like restaurants are to blame.

 

i am thinking that the inventory is not reflecting what they have and that they're only listing part of the order to avoid hysteria.
better question to ask: why didn't any other store order KBS? this order was placed by Summerhill on Wednesday. other stores just didn't order it.

 

Yea they still have a crap load there at summerhill. Stopped by tonight they have like 20 or more cases on the floor. It's pouring a lot coffee forward this year. Not getting too much bourbon.

 

Let one age a year or 2 and the bourbon may shine!

 

wife picked up 8 yesterday on our way to a party in hamilton. i'd worked saturday and we did the drive. got there and i was tired to hell. so i opened a bottle of KBS to share with my friend.
i really, really enjoyed this vintage vs previous years. the coffee's just right. in the past, it was a really ungood mix of coffee, bourbon and stout.
i'd highly recommend drinking these as is

 

I agree, best to drink now. I got 8 as well, Prob age 4 and drink 4 right away. It's probably one of the best years so far I've had so far in a bottle, On draft that's another story. Hopefully we will get kegs in Ontario, but i don't count on it.
