Forgot to post this on Saturday when I stopped in.
Everything on tap, with the exception of ANNIHILATOR was on for growler fills. The usual butcher paper on the left didn't have any listings on it. Also FYI > the 6pk of Amalgamator inside the cooler was a week old. :sunglasses:

Looks like the OG location is seeking an executive chef per their IG. I wonder if this means Jameson is leaving?

They best not touch the smoked ham sandwich.

I know the long beach head chef had left and Jameson was doing split time, it could be that they're seeking a replacement for that position.

Maybe they'll finally find someone who can bring back those lamb ribs!

Draper's Dram on tap. Had this recently at Phantom Carriage, and it definitely has the profile of a Manhattan. Not my favor BA offering from Beachwood but still solid

The wife and I are hitting SoCal area for a few days (from SF). The last time I was down there, I was told to check out Beachwood Blendery, but I misunderstood and went to just regular Beachwood BBQ. Looking forward to checking out their barrel program!

If my wife is into Belgians/sours, are there other players we should look at? (Yes, I know Phantom Carriage.) And do you guys like Beachwood Blendery best?

Beachwood Blendery is definitely worth checking out, but their sours are much more mild. Phantom Carriage is solid, and Monkish makes fantastic sour beer

I usually take my wife to Bruery Terreux because she only likes Belgians/sours. She usually likes the fruited Berlinear Equation variants at Bottle Logic too. It's an easy trip because they are pretty close to each other. And like UnknownKoger says, Monkish...probably my favorite place for Belgians and sours down there.

"Just regular" Beachwood may be the best mid-sized brewery in SoCal, so I'd say you still did pretty well.

I'd choose it over a trip to the Blendery any day.

Not hard to visit both when they're walking [stumbling] distance. Cherry Rye is one of the better Eugene's so far.

Also if you're going to be around Long Beach, can make it to Smog City Steelcraft quite a bit faster than you'd be able to get all the way to Torrance. Definitely check out Snugglebug or Cuddlebug if it's on down there.

Hopefully. That or Rye Like an Eagle. Been a while for both. Maybe BA Jean Quad since the regular version is on right now

Thrillseeker is back on tap. Rejoice!

I get the feeling they may have skipped 8 buffalo it this year. I could be wrong, I'm just guessing. System of a stout is late May usually. I wonder if they'll do BA full malted jacket again this year.
