As long as the single line getting in isn't a complete shit show and making everyone late for their alloted time slot.

 

This isn't about "flipping on the secondary market" but if you, as a business owner, are going to increase the price and include variants for 50 dollars, make sure you can actually produce enough product to justify your consumer spending the money. Otherwise, they should have decreased the price 50 dollars and gone back to scratch off cards. It's silly to pawn off your old extra inventory on me for the sake of it. Value your customer.

 

For what it's worth, I'm fairly certain you can't slap "Everything Subject to Change" as a form of legal recourse or as part of the sales terms and conditions.

When I checked the weather forecast this morning for DLD all looked great. Now all of my weather apps are showing rain. WTF?

 

People who paid via a credit card are protected from businesses with poor practices. It would be interesting to see what Visa and MC have to say about all of the changes to a purchase. First Come First Served to First Come First Served in each group, to Random Bags are a lot of changes after purchasing a ticket.

 

Full disclosure, I'm group E. Absolutely love the new system. Allows everyone to enjoy the fest without worrying to lineup early. Love the decision to only honor the current 2 hour time window. If you can't pickup your allotment within a 2 hour window, that's completely on you, espceially knowing your window beforehand. You still get a chance to pickup anyway after 7. Looking forward to the fest. The only issue is those people that specifically got an earlier group to not get vintage dark lord and skipped on later groups. Those people got shafted. Other than that, absolutely fantastic job by FFF. Hopefully this model continues except that everyone gets a variant in future iterations.

My only concern is with a single entrance line and being group A. I think group A should have a slight extension based on whether or not it's a shit show

 

I wonder how many of each variant is made. Knowing the bottle counts could at least give people odds to expect for each variant.

So, ironically, group A is the most stressed now knowing they have to get into the fest before their window expires or else they gotta wait til 7pm to pick up their allotments!? Oh how the tables have turned Mr. Powers

 

For anyone going in pairs that share their beer allotments and are worried about getting stuck with two of the same low-demand variants or two sets of vintage we should set up an "unlucky suckers" swap meet.

 

It did not say first come first serve before tickets went on sale. That language was added only a week or two ago.

 

I've never disagreed with you and hold your opinions in high regard. However, I'm almost 100% sure that the "Variants will be first come first serve" was there from the day the site was updated. It then changed to the "variants will not be guaranteed" but still stated in the FAQ that variants will be FCFS. I apologize in advance if you guys are talking about something else.
