Ironic that on my quest to find Nimble Giant (I was fairly sure that it wouldn't be in my immediate area quite yet but I was at the store and checked anyway) and I came across Dirt Wolf in a new 6 pack format, the 6 pack has the new style artwork too...guess Victory liked my suggestion last year :stuck_out_tongue:

    • I feel Dirt Wolf sits because like most of the beers these last few years it came out with a lot of hype and became quickly popular because it was the next new thing, the brewery produced to meet the demands and then suddenly people were on to the other next new thing. I enjoy DW but Victory may want to consider moving to a 6-pack format and keeping the price on the lower side, sales may take off again then and there may be a renewed interest.

Really? I have only ever seen it in 4 packs since its release. In fact one store still had a ton of 4 packs on the floor and on the shelves while another had the new 6 packs.

My bad.... It was a four pack!!! I was thinking you meant bombers... It's an excellent brew regardless and one I pick up every year....

I believe that year it competed with it's own breweries release Hop Ranch... Sometimes my memory escapes me though.. Obviously!

Yup. one of my local beer stores is this way.

Ironically about a year ago at that store a Victory Sales Rep was there talking to the store employees. When there was a break in the conversation I brought up the topic of 6-packs vs. 4-packs. He gave me the 'look of death'. I was not intimidated by this young guys attitude and continued with: "If you sold these beers in 6-packs I would buy more of your beers". He replied with a snide look and I continued with: "You should tell your bosses about this conversation". I have zero idea if he ever spoke to his 'higher ups' about this but I figured I did my part here.

    Cheers!

Dirtwolf is, imo, one of the best double IPAs out there with a relatively large distribution footprint.

There is a place that lists 4-pack for $11.95 and 6-pack for $15.95.

Most others haven't updated from 4-pack pricing, which a lot of places had under $10.

Usually get mine between $9 & $10, just curious how close they were going to stay to that.

My local Wegmans charges $9.49* for a 4-pack of Dirtwolf. They still have a good size stack of Dirtwolf in 4-packs.

    Cheers!

    * That was the price I recall from the last time I looked.

Unfortunately it has shot up to over $11.00 now.

The 6 pack was going for $13.99 I believe.

That is nuts; that is $0.23 per ounce.
Well, the 'best' I can say there is this means $0.19 per ounce so lower by that price metric.

    Cheers!

That is high, I would be perfectly happy buying Dirtwolf 6 packs in the $11-$12 range. I'm not dropping $14.

The prices around here are becoming hard to justify. DFH 60 Min. shot up to $11.99 for a 6 pack of bottles but just as I had predicted it barely moved at all at that price so is back down to a reasonable $9.99 and where it was before. Victory Hop Devil I have been seeing in some places for $11.99 now too, come on.

Just picked up a 6 of DW. $11. Had no idea it was in 6 packs. Pretty happy about that. Super duper cheesy artwork tho .

That's nuts for Hopdevil, on the other hand the new mix can 12 pack has been reasonably priced at $16.99 around me anyway
