Hoping this turns into another "limited" beer shit show to further dampen my interest in craft beers. (Sarcasm mine, and intentional)

It's because its sold year round. I can't name one year round IPA that is widely distributed that I can find fresh more often than old (8+ weeks is my criteria for fresh v old)? I honestly don't know of any.

Its good, but it's basically the ceiling for what Troegs can produce.

I wasn't blown away by it, but didn't really have that expectation to begin with anyways. Definitely their best beer that they produce IMO.

I don't know if I agree with it being their ceiling. The triple dry hopped perpetual they brewed a few years back was pretty incredible for any DIPA and proved to me that they could make a world-class hopbomb if they wanted to.

Just picked up a 4-pack in South Jersey, along with a six-pack of the new Firestone Luponic distortion 002. Bringing them to the lot at the Mann tonight!

I agree with you. I'd actually prefer a Perpetual over Nimble Giant

I left the Reading area yesterday and Nimble Giant is 'scheduled' to land this week. Arrived here in Boston today and it has been on the shelf since Monday (yesterday) according to the worker. I love it hits Boston before it does 20-30 miles away.

Still not in NYC if it makes you feel any better.

I will certainly pick up a 4 pack. Troegs has brewed enough great beer that I have no problem giving any of their new offerings a shot in the rotation.

Scratch #243 the sour they recently brewed was one of the best things I have tried by them. Now that is one that should have been put into bottles/cans.

    SN Torpedo
Dales Pale Ale (not technically an IPA but hopped like one)
    Evil Twin Molotov Lite
    Stone IPA
    To name a few...

Even FW Union Jack has been coming in fresh on a regular basis.

The last batch of DW that I've seen is from like October of last year. Would love to see it fresh cause its a great beer.

I think Nimble Giant is a result of one of their scratch beers.

Man, I wish I could find all of those fresh in my area. I will admit Firestone Walker has gotten a little better, but I'm still lucky to find some less than 3 months old.

Wegmans in King of Prussia, PA is about to put out 8 cases. The first case was already being picked from while sitting on the cart.
