Re: dessert beers, I was going to say "pastry stout."

Edit: also, a friend and I just walked through a wine shop and saw a "bourbon barrel aged Red." ha!

I think,no,I hope that we've reached a 'tipping point' where brewers are going to be tested to make just great, simple, traditional beers without any adjuncts-someone make me an awesome Pilsner for the summer!

A buddy of mine came back with a Crowler of that stuff last weekend from Dogfish Head. It was't half bad actually! Leave it to DFH to throw meat in the brew kettle.

Lol, yes, assuming you're referring to the "Beer For Breakfast" beer, it was on tap at Mule Bar in Winooski, VT over the winter or late fall of 2016 (whenever it came out). Quite an interesting beer. I usually like to try their interesting beers. Them and a local one here called "Four Quarters" can be pretty "outside the box" for beers too yet both breweries can brew good products I'm not afraid of trying.

Apparently beer with meat has the potential to become a thing....

Had the 2008 Avery Samael. Shit was like taking acid for the first time. A true experience!

Orlando Brewing makes their Right On Red Ale in both "unfiltered" Rum or Whiskey barrels. The rum aged is fucking amazing.

Every rum barrel aged brew I have had rocks and surpasses most bourbon ales, that said the tequila aged brews I have had are a little off on the flavor profile a are the gin aged brews.

I'd love to see a Pils war take off.

    Dale, I would too!

Do you think this is realistic? Do you really think there are enough beer drinkers that enjoy Pilsners to make this happen?

    Cheers!

Low alcohol fruit beers. Maybe not necessarily a radler, but something to represent beer's "sangria" entrant amongst the drink at gatherings lady crowd to compete against the various Rita's, and for the love of God, hard water??????????

Ya, beer has to represent big time in the light and fruity arena.

Ya I do. I'm burned out on mediocre IPAs , maybe a bunch of other beer drinkers as well. And it's an easy cross for AAL drinkers. It's also a massive challenge to Brewers , see who's chicken to take it on, no bitter hops to hide behind here, let's see if finesse can prosper. No bourbon, no adjuncts, not a ton of hops, nothing more than water/barley/ hops / yeast. The Fest war in sept and October might make way for a year round competition.

It'd be fun to see companies who specialize in ales and those in ciders work on collaborations. The possibilities would be endless. Say a Bold City Duke's with Ciderboys Peach. You'll be surprised.

Boy, I hope that you are correct here. I suppose in another year or two or three we will know more.

Spoiler alert: in the next NBS I will be discussing Saint Benjamin Pilsner Prosim.

    Cheers!

How about an AAL war where AB/InBev would be shamed when compared to better tasting craft alternatives.
