DDH DMDD is my favorite OH Beer of the year, hope they expand the Daydram Oats and Lactose to more beers, like an ACE Daydream.

Any hope of All Dank Everything ever making a return?

I like DDH DMD a lot but the most recent batch had a slightly unpleasant tongue-coating aftertaste that is hard to describe. I can't recall if I've had the DDH version before, but the non-DDH definitely did not have that same weird taste.

I usually drink my cans within the first two weeks so maybe it's one of those things that improves with age

I still have a can of DDH Daydream, holding it for science.

Trillium gold standard when you combine quality and ease of acquiring. But OH would really have to up their production to achieve that level.

Between this line argument and a guy coming into this thread to defend the $500 weekly beer haul pics he posts next to his cat on instagram, I think we just hit peak "Craft Beer in 2017"

It's already been stated that his pictures include beer for 3-4 friends who can't make the drive in. His take home is less than many local to OH. So.. as one aforementioned, "Move along dude."

Wait for real? It has? This happened?

Or is this a joke. If not then I guess I missed something too

Yeah I missed where he says it's for 3-4 friends and that his take him is less than OH locals.

I just remember him saying "Open your wallet"

Not sure if others here saw that OH is 1/3 of a tap takeover this evening in Berlin (Protokoll), along with Finback and KCBC. Would love to sit with the locals there and get their take on the state of the American craft beer industry, and especially beers made in NYC. The whole lineup looked real nice- they have a keg of DDH DMDD!

I've not had much luck trying to impress my foreign-born coworkers with our beers, and because I'm lazy I assume most people from countries with rich brewing traditions think these IPA's and stouts are just fanciful bastardizations of something perfected long ago across the pond.

I've heard from a few people that the british love our hazy IPAs. But Germany could be another story altogether given their rich brewing tradition

But i still dont understand why "locals" should get preferential treatment. What makes someone "local"? Caroll Gardens? Brooklyn?

A lot of people have said they would rather sleep in on saturday or have other things to do saturday morning instead getting up and waiting on line, but what about people who work during the week and cant get to a weekday release? If they released the potato collabs on a weekday I would have missed out on the beer, so why does someone who can go durung the week deserve it more than me?

Ask the "locals" to Monkish how much they like their style of announcements and 8 can limits. Everyone i talked to out there (i was there a few weeks ago) says they wish it was like other half. Grass is always greener.

If I have missed the point people are trying to make then my bad. But no matter when they release beer someone is going to be left out unless that person decides its important enough to make sure they get some of it (leave work early, get up early on saturday, etc.)

Anyway back to the beer; cant wait for that tremendous ideas. I still have a can left from the UK release so im curious to see how they compare.

Oi I'm British - we have a rich brewing tradition too! Where do you think all these dipas people line up for are descended from.

But yeah the us craft type beer has become pretty big back home. There are newer breweries that are pretty much modeled on the style (kegged beer; all the hawt styles), the guys keeping it more traditional (cask bitter etc), and the ones that do a sort of hybrid of both (cask and keg, using new hops etc)

Yeah same. I trade with a couple guys in the UK and they love the NE stuff (mostly other half, trillium and veil according to them)

Yeah one of my colleagues I was talking about is British, and tomorrow he's having a BBQ (if the rain holds) to which I plan to bring a small army of hazy beer filled IPA's to work on that conversion. He's been trying to sell me on single payer for a while, I figure if he drinks the beer I'll give him what he wants hahaha.

Well IMO, "local" shouldn't be for only those in walking distance. So anyone here who thinks that living in Carroll Gardens/Gowanus/etc should get "preferential treatment" is just ridiculous.

I just feel as though that having such high limits encourages resellers to flood the lines. And since it's beyond obvious that this is taking place at OH, and that OH seems to be ok with it then that's a problem.
