I disagree. Half hour before opening, in past years, would not even get you regular.

Well there you go, I was being optimistic for the reg then. I wouldn't risk it anyway. Just asking for disappointment.

And to answer the inevitable question which will come up (again & again).

Montgomery is my target. How early would you recommend? I’ll grab a turkey leg and an inauspicious coffee cup filled with something coffee-related...

It's interesting the direction this is going. Last year's ticket got you two regular and one of everything else. This year's allocation is huge in comparison. Many, many more total bottles with fewer allocations.

If they made Prop 13 bottles available, it literally would be a re-enactment of the Anchorman network fight scene. Pretty sure someone would be waiting in line as we speak.

What time would you need to be in line to be in the top 500 or 1000 in years past?

The Dark Lord is pretty pissed people were able to avoid his weather this year with FFF moving back the date to May. Look for him to crash Black Friday releases with flooding rains and tornadoes briefly interrupted by snow storms....

So much for that supposed Coffee shortage, guys. Can't believe the allotment size this year. Northwoods and Reserve obviously the big eyebrow raisers at 1pp.

AB-InBev has an Area 51 sized hangar full of bourbon barrels.

I don't know about that. In the western suburbs for the last two years I've been able yo find a couple bottles of regular after ambling into a Binny's or Jewel at 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

I got there at about 7 am last year and I was around #660. I'm guessing worse this year.

I wasn't going to do LP again, but an extra Prop/coffee plus vintage is tempting.

Also, some of the burbs talk is a bit dramatic. I have gone after open around me and still got regular and Barleywine. I know people that got 2 full allotments last year with no mules.

God bless those souls who max out with a spousal mule at Prop Day and then are first 100 in line for Black Friday...

Guesses on the cost of a full allotment at LP Binnys? $230 -$250 range, not including Vintage bottles.
