Depending on store, info was definitely all over the place. There is probably 4+ posts about 1341 n paulina and each response from Jewel was a different allocation. I had to ask twice and still don't trust what they said haha

 

Most Jewel stores not getting all variants should show the struggle of independent shops trying to get them. Distribution is flawed on all ends. Also, rumor has it that Surly is joining this Titanic of distro...

I live right next to that jewel. Talked to them and they made it sound like they aren’t getting a lot. If you read the comments in the jewel article, The most thorough response had Clark/division getting the least out of the event stores.

I’m just saying I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Their beer selection has been pretty standard since they opened. Plus, The people that work in the department don’t give AF.

It's also amazing reading the comments in binnys blog. The amount of questions that get asked over and over again are crazy. And yet binnys replies to each and every one of them.

It's just like anything at work..it's easier to just ask someone to resend some file, than it is for the sales rep to save it themselves or search their email for it!

 

Interesting experience at my local Michigan Costco (Auburn Hills) just now.
Checked and they have 12 bottles of BCBS so I head over at lunch to grab some
Ask the beer and wine guy when I don’t see it and he is busy and says he hasn’t seen it.
But he does go in back and check and comes out with a case of 12 bottles.
I pick up the case and he says are you buying them all? I say no just 4.
At register, trouble ringing up 4. Can only ring up 1. Called back to the beer guy to ask about limits and he says limit 4. So the front manager says she has to over-ride, and ring them up separately. No problem.
She gets done with 2, onto the 3rd and another manager rushes up and says we can’t sell it until the 24th.
Anyway, for those who know how hard BCBS is to come by in SE Michigan, you can understand the let down.
From thinking about walking out with a case (I know, but I didn’t), to thinking I had 4, then maybe only 1, to nothing.
