    This reminds me of Myshka - a "Russian serf stout" brewed by Off Color in Chicago.

    Always enjoy your articles, but once I saw there are 40 bottles of that version of Barkley Perkins IRS from 92'-93' at your house, all I could think about was a road trip to stalk you.

    Session stout is right on for my Irish blood and Michigan climate. Would probably drink for breakfast

    Fuggles 90 mins 1.50 oz
    Goldings 30 mins 1.50 oz
    OG 1044
    FG 1019
    ABV 3.31
    Apparent attenuation 56.82%
    IBU 39
    SRM 37
    Mash at 150º F
    Sparge at 165º F
    Boil time 90 minutes
    pitching temp 60.5º F
    Yeast Wyeast 1099 Whitbread Ale

    That's for 6 US gallons/5 UK gallons/23 litres.

    Session IPA= Pale Ale
    Session Imperial Stout= stout
    Session Barleywine= brown ale

    I don't understand how you can just add the word "session" in front of a style of beer and it becomes "new". What next? Session Double IPA? Session Strong Ale?

    Considering the beer style @patto1ro is writing about is almost a hundred years old and the recipe is from 1946, I don't think its "new".

    Came here to say this. Imperial means strong so if it's just a weak strong it's just a regular stout.

    Anybody who doesn't want some "Imperial Session stout" can send their allotted portion to me. We can call it whatever they will ...

    I like Ron Pattinson. I only understand about half his stuff, but I like it and want to understand more.
