LIC beer project lead brewery Anthony Sorice left LIC and is starting Root + Branch brewing - a nomadic brewing project with roots bound to Long Island NY. They are part of the 12 percent family along with evil twin, Stillwater, omnipollo, decadent, __, etc.

Anybody know, was this the head head brewer there at LIC? If so that is shocking bc that was my fav NYC brewer and could be a big change.

Root + Branch just released a collab with Sand City, it is very good.

They will be launching their beers on tap across a few NYC bars next week. Sounds very promising.

My old coworkers are throwing me a going away party at Tap and Barrel on the night of their event. Really looking forward to trying the Hudson Valley collab.

The Sand City collab from them is also very good.

Anthony here. For about the last year and a half, I brewed about 85% of the beer that was coming out of LICBP.

Just a heads up for y’all - due to super low yield, the HVB collab will only be pouring at Haymaker/Proletariat/Tørst. I’ll be updating via IG shortly.

I may have missed this on IG or elsewhere but has there been a description put out about details around this collaboration? I only see that it is a sour IPA

Don’t fret! Although we would’ve loved to have it pour alongside all of the other collabs at all of the events, a good amoun of cans will be floating around. Also, I’m going to be bringing a bunch of fun vintage bottles from my cellar to the Sheep and Tap to share with whomever would like a pour. Find me!

Yes, cans of “Dead Men on Holiday” will be popping up around the city and LI. Most likely early next week. I’ll do my best to keep y’all informed, as to where they’ll be going.

Curious, @xenjoiii, what's the reasoning behind the name Root + Branch?
