Coolest beer names?

    I've always loved that Interboro's Mad Fat Fluid is a relatively subtle Nas reference. Not quite as subtle as Ill Plus Matic.

    In terms of classic rock references they have, there's also Softly Spoken Magic Spells (Pink Floyd), and Does Anybody Remember Laughter (Led Zeppelin, specifically the live performance of Stairway to Heaven).

    Very solid beer as well.

    I've always like Buxton's various in-jokes for rock climbers - Far Skyline, Very Far Skyline and Nth Cloud which are named after areas of one of their local crags, Bloc Head, Red Point, Subluminal (named after a crag which is itself a pun - it's below a lighthouse). My favorite is Ring Your Mother, a collaboration with Oedipus and Rooie Doop, which is named after this climb, which is also a groanworthy joke in its own right...

    Similarly, I always like Quittin' Time, from Pearl (later from Dubuque).

    Hamm's Right Time Malt Liquor is also noteworthy (or maybe just "infamous"?) for being an early flavored malt liquor - initially came in "Red" (cherry) or "Gold" (citrus) with "Tropical" and "Apple" added later.

    never had any of their beers but Foam Brewers seems like most of their names are either music (Built To Spill, Pavement, Experimental Jet Set) or film (American Splendor)

    Wow, I totally wanna try that now. I LOVE Dunkelwiezens, but I don't think I ever tried a %100 wheat one! Any chance it makes it's way into PA? :grin:
