Other Half March 2018!

Those other 2 sound nice but as the summer approaches I’m trying to stick with single IPAs. I’ll be happy if I can just get Citra DD at my usual 11-12 which shouldn’t be a problem.

 

After seeing Monkish release their anni beer at 80 total cases and 1 pack pp, I'm starting to feel very grateful for what OH's been able to produce and offer recently. Might be laying low on the case count complaints for a bit

 

If there were no complaints there would be three posts a week:

An instagram link to the week's release
A question of what's next week
A post with the week's keg list

 

I just hope that ends up being a midweek release again.

 

My eyes aren't deceiving me right, the license plate is a penis version of Florida is it not?

 

Has OH ever said why they don't announce case counts? I don't see how that would reduce the hype but it would give people an indication of how early they might need to line up. The beer is going to sell out anyway, so it just seems like stubbornness just for the sake of it. Like why is there a "need" for wristbands when there is 500 case or more of each beer?

Because they want people to lineup really early. Makes them come across as a very hyped brewery.

Just like how they said in last weekends post "Please be courteous of our neighbors! We're handing out wristbands at 3am!". Makes people compelled to get there before 3am.

Speaking of wristbands, did they strictly enforce the numbered wristbands on Saturday?

At other half right now. Shocked to say my favorite of last weekend relesse is monkish. Also el Camino misfires is one of the craziest things I’ve ever had. Do not sleep on it.

 

Sam said El Camino was his favorite beer of last weekend.

 

I was about to say that Misfires is so weird but so good. Not for everyone but maybe the best beer of the release.

 

Thanks. I always suspected that they sold some to certain accounts before to general public, but the attitude of Sam at that question , if he really said that, really makes me want to tell him to f himself.

 

He’s standing right near me and it looks like that’s what he’s drinking.

 

My GF's favorite OH beer to date is probably Florida Plates. So, I will be going this weekend. Don't you hate when your significant other drags you to the brewery? I'm pretty excited it for it as it will certainly be different than then standard OH offering. Will also be at J.Wakefield in person the following week as well...

 

Good problem to have, but the pineapple was the best part of Florida Plates. I think the passion fruit is going to ruin what made the original so good.

 

I'm expecting the passion fruit to be even better than the pineapple. Plus, with the addition of Galaxy, you get that pineapple-character as well. Additionally, this is a 'Cream IPA', I believe the original didn't have the 'Tose cream treatment? (Interesting that OH referred to it as a cream IPA, but, didn't call out the Lactose??)
