My father's favorite beer glass. I remember it from my childhood... However I don't see the type anymore. The glass is a goblet style but is open at the base as well. It similar to a red wine bowl with a shot glass base. Anyone know what that is called or a good quality version can be purchased?
You have the basic layout alright but the base is not tapered and the top is more rounded. Is there a name for this style?
@jesskidden , you got anything? I'm striking out. The glassware section of beer 101 isn't helping here either: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/101/glassware/
Google "beer glass", and look at images until you find one that looks right. Then post the link to the picture here.
Shot in a pint drinking glasses is probably the best you'll get. Edit: didn't you get that pic from Amazon?
Sounds like the same glass discussed in this thread https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/unique-glassware.117020/ ...in which I noted that Carling (US), Genesee (below) and even the United Brewery Workers union put them out. There's also a photo of several variations another BA found in a thrift store - which is the most likely place to find them.
Maybe this Sauvin glass is what you are after? https://www.etsy.com/listing/183008144/sauvin-glass-craft-beer-beer-glassware?ref=shop_home_feat_4
Maybe something like this? 12oz can provided for size reference. These were purchased at a thrift store. I've not seen any new.
