Maybe I'm missing something (like how much does it cost?!), but where are you getting only two food vendors? Last year there were food stands all over the place, selling a wide variety of eats, and add in food trucks, it was not hard to find something to eat last year. I don't recall there really being any really long lines for food.

Now, I could tell the story from last year's DLD where I saw a guy drop his open face brisket sammich right on the concrete, and walk away chagrined at the loss of his sammich. Only to see an enterprising fella that was sitting nearby, resting after an arduous half hour walk through the Dark Lord bottle pick-up, scoop up the brisket and wolf that beef down. That brisket didn't have a chance.

Far too much math for this thread.

Yeah, I recall there being at least half-dozen different food stations scattered around the grounds and especially just after you exit the brewery with your bottles.

I wouldn't be concerned with there being only two vendors. If they are making a deliberate decision to direct people into spending more money on taps/merch/other vendors, they won't be skimping on having enough food options or places where to purchase.

Exactly. One of the food vendors is FFF, they had most of the food stations in the past....

Yeah only two food vendors in addition to FFF who always has great food options and the most food stations.

Band update: Kingdom of the Skull will be performing, Todd Haug will be playing with them. No Powermad this year.

I've not been since 2011 and have been thinking of going back the last couple of years but at $180/person plus travel expenses, food and hotel, I'm priced out.

In 2011 I think tickets were only $20 and bottles were only $10 with a 4 bottle limit unless you were lucky enough to get a golden ticket for a variant which I think was only $20.

The bottles were $15 a piece in 2011, and the variants were $50. Tickets were only $10.

Comes to $120 total cost for the fest in 2011.

I was thinking 10 Little Kings bottles too. You won’t need a backpack, just a fannypack! I mean, the taplists suck so bad every year anyway. We’d all rather drink Corona and Little Kings than all the guest bullshit that isn’t the whales they’re supposed to bring. DILLY DILLY, right?

Our memories serve to be different. Maybe you're right it's been 7 years. If your numbers are correct it only cost me $70, I didn't get a variant. So it's a $110 increase from my perspective to get a variant.

...and still worth it! Cost cannot be a deciding factor not to attend as you can literally sell your variant for more than the cost of your ticket, which means you get free entry and four free Dark Lords (Not that I advocate doing this). Whether I am in the minority or not, I think $180.00 is a steal.

So are we going to have to download a stupid DLD app onto our phones in order to add money to the RFID bracelet? Nothing like having another username and password to remember just for 1 festival a year.....
