@xenjoiii Do you guys have any ideas about price, limits, case amounts, etc, or is that still being determined? Very excited, I missed out on Dead Men, but will almost certainly be there for this release.

 

Not at the moment. I’m allowing the beer to cold condition in the FV until Wednesday, and won’t know yield until the beer is transferred to the brite tank.

We also need to chat with Twelve Percent about the quantity of cases that we’ll be selling out of the brewery next Saturday. Things will have to change from the model we used in CT, being that we’re now brewing and selling directly on LI.

 

Following up: will you disclose limits and case amounts once the beer is transferred to the brite tank?

 

For Saturday, we’re setting limits at one case per person - subject to change depending on turn out.

 

Hopefully there will be some distribution in the city. If not, do you plan on having some on tap, similar to the Dead Men On Holiday release at Haymaker and the like?

 

Any idea on case count?

 

Not yet. Canning tomorrow.

The city will be seeing draft and cans, albeit a very limited amount of the latter.

 

Anyone going? Might try to roll up around 11 and hope for the best. It's odd not knowing what to expect

I was going to go tomorrow but heading up state early. Funny to think how this release will be the greatest release in the "Great South Bay Brewery" history lol. Gathering most will not stay to drink the beers on tap...

 

Having a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy at Threes right now....what an interesting beer. I can’t stop drinking it, trying to figure out what I think of it. Really glad you made this one with them @xenjoiii. Such a cool style to try out.

 

Glad to hear that it challenged you a bit. I thought it came out really nice, for the style.

 

What other examples of that style would you suggest? I imagine it may take me a while to find them all, but it's such a unique flavor that I haven't found elsewhere.

 

I’d suggest Bayrischer Bahnhoff’s Oak Smoked Berliner and Freigesit Abraxxxas. Live Oak and Westbrook too, but they don’t come around often.

I was there around 10:45 and bought one of the four remaining cases

 

I rolled up at 10:40 and was back on the road by 10:45. There seemed to be around 4 cases of Crystal Spirit left behind the counter, but no idea if they had more somewhere else.

 

Just rolled in. Met Anthony and grabbed one 4pk from the last case. Evil twin running out also.

 

The Crystal Spirit is drinking excellent. It's really clean and juicy. It reminds me of a fresher version of some of the excellent Grimm beers we get. The finish is especially pleasant. I can't wait to try it with some time on it.
