In the above linked thread there were some anecdotes that would imply the answer is yes.

I was in town for business last week and things worked out that I could get in line in time to bring some shakes and green home to share with some buddies. Consensus of the folks next to me in line was that the shakes are better in a month or two than fresh. Curious what others think about how long to wait on them.
Also is it just me... I can't see the Tired Hands section of the spreadsheet in the first post of the month, only tree house. Anyone else have same problem?

Each one is different, but the doubles seem to last longer. I've had 6 month old Double Vanillas that were still really good. That being said, the Double Peach is really, really good right now. I can't imagine it getting much better unless more peach starts to shine through. Consider yourself lucky, the Double Peach is fantastic this time around and might crack my list of top shakes.

PS: I'm seeing the same thing on the spreadsheet, no TH info.

It does kinda suck when all you want is one 4-pack of one of the beers and it looks like there will be lines. Just not worth the effort. Not worth the $50 markup on the secondary market, either.

Are you talking about this week's release, or shakes? Because I'd say that there is a 95% chance you can roll up at 7pm tonite and get whatever you want with no line.

That's what I was thinking. Releases Post-shake weeks are usually lighter. Plus, No collab. Alien Church again, and no official shake :wink:this week. Maybe with Easter this Sunday there are a few more people, but I would not expect it too crazy.

Lush Life sounds pretty interesting. Hoping for the best with that one but with all the green cans coming from TH my optimism is diminishing.

Question for regular Tired Hands drinkers - is there really any perception of honey in these various IPAs with honey added? There isn't going to be any sweetness, as honey is like 95% fermentable. Any remaining honey flavor is going to be so mild I just don't see it as perceptible with all of the hops and/or other ingredients.

Sure it's going to thin the body and boost ABV, but using local wildflower honey just seems like using the most expensive simple sugar possible to do the job. But I guess if people will pay $26/ 4 pack, they don't have to worry.

I don't know if it's psychological at this point or what but I perceived more of a honey note on the last experimental batch that I think I mentioned was like a better Pineal a couple pages ago. At least with local wildflower honey it will help with your allergies! Fun side note one time we majorly screwed up a mash and got nowhere near our expected efficiency. I raided my house for all the simple sugar we could find, mainly just any honey and agave syrup we could get a hold of which was enough to help abv wise but in the end the beer sucked. We've gotten better since then haha.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Milkshake prefilled crowlers at the General Store now as well. 1pp per day. I wonder what the pricing is like on those bad boys. 32oz cans of a brand new milkshake?

    Description for the aforementioned shake:
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Milkshake IPA is our latest heavily amplified psychedelic riff on THE boundary-pushing Culinary IPA series. Brewed with gobs of oats, brown sugar, dried pineapple and lactose sugar. Conditioned atop of luscious Madagascar vanilla beans, house made grilled pineapple purée, and maraschino cherries. Intensely hopped and then dry hopped with Mosaic and Citra.

Yeah. I was going to run down to grab the lager bottles and grab cans if there was no line. Not now probably.

Interesting timing of the milkshake. I assume everyone that was in line- or inside with a chair holding their place- trucked it over to the general store and then got back in line for the regular release?

How long have you guys kept Alien Church for? I want to grab a few four packs, maybe a case, to stash in the fridge as a "drinking" beer (sometimes I don't want to have a "culinary" beer).

However, at the rate AC is selling out tonight, they might not have any left over tomorrow when I'm able to go. I wonder if the Pineapple Milkshake crowler announcement sent a bunch of people over to the ferm to grab tonight's releases

I’ve kept AC for well over 6 weeks or so. It’s best fresh of course, but it does last for awhile.

I was talking about this with my bro and even at that markup it would only be worth it to someone who is unemployed, working minimum wage or with no other source of income.

If you take into account, driving an hour each way(average time when you factor locals+ far away) and standing in line for anywhere from 2-5 hours it really isn't that much money.

The math would be 3x 25 four packs @ $75. + lest say 5 hours invested.
The high end resell would be $240..

-$75 cost of purchase that is $165 for at least 5 hours invested.

Most people work jobs that pay at least $15-$20 an hour so you would only be making $50 more than your hourly job. Also to sell you would have to pay shipping which would again cut into profits also consider time spent packaging and shipping. Not to mention gas and parking if they feed the meter.

All in all even at the most extreme high end prices the people selling milkshakes are bums.
