There's more available now than there ever has been previously. Plenty to go around. Just ask your local shop to order it, if for some reason they don't have it

Grabbed a 6pk of fort hill fresh pick. Might be the tastiest yet. It's like one of those every brewery attempts at a NEIPA that you think, pretty good but not $14 a 4pk good, except this is $8 a sixer. Plenty of room in my fridge for this wee one

I just grabbed a case of Firestone Leo vs Ursus: Wookus at Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge for $14.99. Sure they’re 3 months old, but for that price I wasn’t going to pass it up.

Just found some Revision Brewing 'Planetary Fog' at Natural Provisions Williston. Very nice stuff.... don't believe I've ever had Nevada craft beer before.

That Revision stuff is actually pretty good for shelf beer. It’s some of the better modern hoppy beer you can get in an grocery store in the Mountain West. I believe It’s the head brewer or guy that started Knee Deep in CA who started this brewery in Reno. I don’t think there are many breweries in NV that distribute out of NV/CA. The head brewer has won a bunch of medals at GABF when at Knee Deep and just won Gold for their IPA and silver for their Double IPA at WBC. He knows how to use hops and The Revision beers are worth a shot if you see em. Nothing mind blowing but always really well made, and they seem to be pretty shelf stable too.

I'm surprised Cigar City came in here so quietly and beat Bell's to the punch. Speaking of Bell's - where are they? With summer nearly here they're missing out on Oberon sales (& Two Hearted sales for me, selfishly).

Saw Fort Point Market tweet about it. Anywhere else? Also, I really wish Fort Point Market were my regular store.

Also saw Crafted tweet out a drop of Half Acre Vallejo and Galactic Double Daisy Cutter, among others.

DDH PS is a bomber. The oatmeal stout is a 16 oz. can.

According to my official beer calendar, summer season is late winter. At this point we're into fall seasonals, so they missed out by a large margin.

I've never had Oberon, and seeing the praise in this thread led me to look it up. I'm confused. It rates fairly well (not a big deal either way). But it's unusual to hear BAs speak highly of a "pale wheat ale". So I figured it must be hop-forward or something. But from reading the reviews it doesn't seem so. In fact the reviews don't have much consistency at all...descriptions are all over the place. I'm not seeing common characteristics noted across reviewers other than some people say it's "orangey", but it doesn't sound like that's obtained from the hop profile...and Bells says it isn't brewed with any fruit. Those here who've had it - what do you like about it?

I think the fascination with Oberon is a local MI thing. It's an old beer that's been realesed to usher in warm weather for years now. Sort of a cult classic type of deal

This is exactly what it is. In Michigan, it reminds people of warm weather and drinking at their lake cottage. It's all nostalgia.

I've also seen Oberon served with orange slices, so maybe that's where the orange character comes from? I have not drank it since college.

I think it's a really good summer quencher. A bit reminiscent of Blue Moon with the wheat / coriander / orange, but those flavors are subtle. Overall I think it's a pleasant beer to drink in multiples without thinking about too much.
